In light of the passing of the great luminary Gil Scott Heron, I have decided to give this one up to the world. 
This is my take on my favourite track from Gil's final album, I'm New Here( which is available to buy here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Here-Gil-Scott-Heron/dp/B002ZBT84G ) 
I made this rework as a companion to the original - which for me evoked classic blues, New Orleans flavours, voodoo and mortality. 
A few shady characters have this track on their hard drives already, and I've been playing it out to great acclaim.

"Waterfalls In Tanzania" is the 1st track from his upcoming EP - STARFISH releasing on April 15th, in collaboration with the talented Berlin based NZ producer/DJ Rodi Kirk. The sampled voices are the Children of the Tanzanian Wagogo Tribe recorded by Polo Vallejo who spent almost 20 years with the Wagogo people, transcribing, analysing & writing down their musical heritage in several works yet to be released.

Released in 1967 as part of The Velvet Underground masterpiece debut LP "The Velvet Underground & Nico", Sunday Morning was seemingly inspired by Andy Warhol, who suggested the band to write a theme about paranoia. Then came Lou reed & John Cale genius, creating this legendary dreamy musical atmosphere contrasting with the darker lyrics.
Here is a DJ-friendly edit of it, with various drums & percussions add-ins.
