Javi Frias has earned a solid reputation as a producer on the international disco scene since he began releasing his edits and reworks back in 2015. However, this year, during confinement, he decided to put editing aside to unleash his creativity and start recording his own productions, playing with synthesizers, electric pianos, syncopated basses and tribal percussion, and the result is this 'Sunset Disco EP'. A collection of songs that take us to a summer sunset on a beach in paradise that represent a huge leap in the career of this artist. The A side begins with 'Give Love', a hedonistic and melancholic disco song, followed by 'Noche Tropical', with Balearic overtones and reminiscences of a Caribbean party. Side B opens with 'Are You Really Fellas?', a funky little number featuring jazzy guitars and smashing bass. 'Dance With Me' brings us back to the field of the emotional and evocative disco. And finally 'Musical Connection', with touches of reggae downtempo perfect to say goodbye to this eternal and warm sunset.

London lad and Local Talk regular Wipe The Needle AKA Lee Gomez's output has spanned a range of styles, from house to D&B to broken beat. He's operating firmly in the latter arena on this new EP for Bristol/Rotterdam-based Boogie Cafe, with 'Hornsey Rise' itself a steppy, shufflin' jazz outing (and the pick for yours truly) and 'Just To Say' a wonky-beated soul jam that's available with our without Ed Ramsey's vocal. We then take a left turn into laidback hip-hop pastures with 'Peace & Love' featuring Stan Smith, which again is served up with a matching but rap-free instrumental.

Singer Margaret Grace  joins forces with Italian producers Luis Radio and Souldynamic for the first of a trio of Soulful House EPs on BBE Music, entitled ‘Dishwater Blues’.

Comprising 4 original tracks, Dishwater Blues Vol.1 is simply a welcome return to song-based, meaningful Deep House Music, with warm and lush production throughout. Hypnotic arrangements, soul-drenched vocals and original melodies are the order of the day here- timeless material from a talented group of lifelong fanatics.

Describing herself as “just an ordinary girl with a big mouth”, Margaret Grace started her recording career in 2007 alongside local crew The Basement Boys, where her meaningful lyrics, effortless control and passionate delivery immediately stood out from the crowd. Margaret Grace and (Basement Boys’) Teddy Douglas have since collaborated on ‘God Created Woman’, ‘Circle of Life’, ‘Free My Mind’, ‘My Love is Not Blind’, ‘Try Me’ and a cover of Nina Simone’s ‘See Line Woman’ to worldwide acclaim. Margaret also covered Leela James’ ‘My Joy’ for producer Quentin Harris.

First releasing on BBE with 2011’s ‘Organismo’, Luis Radio has been a fixture in Rome’s house music scene since the early 80s. An assistant to Tony Humphries early in his career, Luis has gone to DJ at the world’s finest clubs and festivals, as well as collaborating with the likes of Barbara Tucker and Spen.

Italian duo Souldynamic have been lighting up dance-floors the world over for more than a decade, working with some of the most important voices in house music history, including Josh Milan, Margaret Grace, Peven Everett, Ultra Nate, Monique Bingham, Angela Johnson, Melba Moore and Robert Owens.
