We’re glad to present the first EP on Smile by Vhyce, a true standout class act amidst this wave of talented young Belgian producers. He hails from the post-industrial town of La Louvière, and already has a handful of high quality releases out on labels such as No Brainer, Dikso and Sweat It Out.

Vhyce’s world is warm and comforting, his house is one where everybody gets along and where everything blends into a timeless steaming bowl of optimism soup. It’s no different with this ace EP, on which he delivers a sound that makes you want to stay just a little bit longer.

All 3 tracks are equally sound. “Just To Make Me” skips the introduction and drops you smack in the middle of the action. It’s discohouse served at just the right temperature for immediate consumption. “Beast” boasts a mix of the romance of the 50’s and balearic bliss, and “You Don’t Know” is a dark, more ambient slowshrugger infused with echoes of deep and desperate soul.

There’s a solution to the only possible problem with this release, which is deciding which track you’ll play: just play them all. Over and over again. Just like us.

The latest Deewee release sees the Belgian brothers hook up with Sao Paulo duo Phillipi and Rodrigo, otherwise known as Fatnotronic, for a pair of road testing club killers. Experimenting with synths, European club sounds and the rhythms and textures of their native Brazil, the duo have hit upon a unique sound which has done serious damage on the Despacio sound system in recent months. A-side cut "Karma" is a playful acid stomper built out of Wink-esque resonating synth lines, circular marimbas, village square breaks (complete with church bells and loose chickens) and some solid drum programming. On the B-side, the vocal led "Gueto De Gent" drops the pace and bubbles away with a body moving bassline and sunny synth sounds, treating us to some modern Balearic beat for the slower dance floor.

Marquis Hawkes continues to deliver tune after tune. The producer now teams up with Dublin born producer and fellow Aus Music signee Timothy Blake to deliver another bag of grooves to Will Saul and Fink’s ever-outstanding imprint. Hawkes & Blake’s Love Precipitation goes straight in with playful yet powerful piano lines and rejoicing synths that are held up with the punch of classic 909 drums, giving the track an equal amount of classic Detroit garage feels and soulful 90s New Jersey groove. 
Its safe to say we’re pretty excited about what these two are going to bring to the table in 2016 and to kick off their joint venture, i-D are pleased to share the title track from the new EP.

It’s a great pleasure to welcome back Waze & Odyssey to the label, since their first „Please don’t Dance“ EP on Dirt Crew wich was released in early 2013 and that featured an excellent „Detroit Swindle“ remix botht duo’s have had a massive rise and impact on the underground House scene worldwide. Waze & Odyssey have also had killer releases on their own imprint „W&O Street tracks“ and with their latest „On the Downlow“ single they stormed the dancefloors and major radio playlists.
Waze & Odyssey is best know for their straight up bangin’ House cutz and with these two tracks you get exactly that! „Go Go Go“ is a filterred House banger that takes us back to the early Chicago and French House productions from the mid 90’s.

On the other side of this fine 10“ the deeper and more electrofied „We Go Home“ delivers some nasty breakdowns and with it’s manic pitched and ascending lead sound it should shake and stir your brain to get your feet moving for sure.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (6th May) In Hour 2 we welcome Alex Seidel, a young producer already making waves with his first EP on Money $ex, the label run by Max Graef and Glenn Astro, plus a follow up on Tartelet. Kicking off with Belgium's legendary Placebo from 1973 and other early 70's experimental electronic music from Zanagoria and Pataphonie, he then takes us through tracks from General Ludd, Theo Parrish, Jay Daniel, Claro Intelecto and his own track from the Tartelet EP. Alex says; 
"I tried to show the range of music that i play and collect. Starting more experimental and psychedelic it´s followed by a house selection also including my favourite releases of 2015.."

Welcome to EP-89 of the NDYD Radio Show. This set was recorded live in Los Angeles on May 14th, 2016 at The Lincoln Speakeasy on the West Side. This new upscale underground and private members only club has been all the rage in the city since it started early this year. I had so much fun opening the night and playing for almost 3 hours. It gives me a chance to take people on a trip and build the night. I hope you get the same feeling when you hear it.
