1st song in the week, and, funnily enough, the last one i made timeline-wise! I feel like this track captures the vibe of Sauron the most out of the three, however it doesn't really lend itself to invigorating gameplay. 
The naming of this track was a bit of a shitshow. First it was Rain, then i changed it to Petrichor, then i realised that i had already made a track made Petrichor (Sauron's theme) and updated the mod like a year later with a new name for the track. And now i realise that i should have kept the name as Rain from the start. Sigh.

2nd track in the week, and the first track i made for the mod. I initially whipped up a quick WIP as an idea when i saw Clockworkreapers' concept art for the mod and sent it to her, and then that kickstarted the development of the whole mod! Or at least if i recall that correctly.
The melody for this track eventually became the basis for Sauron's real theme!

3rd track in the week. This one took me SO long to make - several months i'd say? Granted, now i have made tracks over a longer period of time but in my memory it took an eternity to make this. 
Looking back, i'd say i went a biiiiit over the top. Maybe not a bit. It's just that i always wanted to make a track like this at that point, so i wanted to make it whether it fit Sauron or not. Not sure if dnb metal is what was intended for him by Clock, buuuut... yeah lmao.
Initially, this track was called Doomed (after doomed timelines), and it was called that over the course of making the entirety of it, only being given its new name during release. 
For some reason i decided to add a lot of Lord English stuff - the old name of the song being named after doomed timelines, his roar being sampled, his melody being used... I imagine i was trying to add intensity to the track via that, even if it didn't fit the lore of the mspfa.

So, this track has had a pretty interesting history. It was made very, very early on, and at first it was supposed to be almost 2 times as fast, and be the third and final song (That's why the name is Null, same as the final 3rd song). Then i decided to slow it down for fun, and noticed that it worked even better with the new speed, so i decided to do a 180 and make it the 1st song instead. However, after finishing it, i realized that it would not be fun to play at all - constantly repeating patterns followed by very slow notes followed by constantly repeating patterns... yawn. So, after a bit of trying to fix the vocals and failing, i decided to scrap the track altogether and replace it with another track (Which later was chosen to be Downpour).
For this release of the OST, i decided to restore the track so that you can finally check it out! So, hope you enjoy it.

It's the most recent one, and looking back, you can see how it stitches all of the previous concepts into one much more coherent one.

Made by me with the help of illegaltoxicbabyidiotahead/DEADINLA (not sure by which name they actually go by online, sorry).
As you can see, i wanted to make something grand for the trailer, and a orchestral-cyberpunkish remix of the main theme of the comic seemed appropriate.
I also used some motifs from other characters, timed to when they appear. Speaking of timing, making the timing right for all of the moments was quite difficult - probably the hardest part of the project. The hardest probably was the little part of sound design i decided to do when the logo gets constructed.

Finally got a chance to make a track for a flash! I decided to do a sort of laid back but constantly moving forward melody, like "we aren't in that much of a rush but we need to do this until then" which fits the vibe of the timeskip imo.
Also, only now did i realize that there's only one sun in the flash and it's the moons which are doubled. Whoops.

When i saw this game, i thought it was a bit bare sound-wise, since there was no music, no sound effects, none of that. So, i decided to whip up some sfx and a quick track. I tried to match the music to the events of the stage, and i'd say i did pretty good. Fun fact - i still can't beat that level lmao

Grimdate is my Act 2 track. When i joined the SNS team, i was initially only doing Act 3 stuff, however it turned out we still had place for another song for the Act 2 update. Now, with that knowledge and opportunity in mind, i thought about what would be the PERFECT track for a Rose-oriented update, and after some thinking, i decided that i would make...

However, after working on it for a bit, i started to realise that what i was making was simply way too emotional for a song dedicated to, well, that. I talked about this for a bit, and Dori suggested i rework the track to be a Rose and Kanaya date track titled "Grimdate". And so, this was born. (Fun fact, you can still actually hear remnants of the sharpie bath idea in the song: one of the instruments that i used is a bathroom floor tile sample.)

Since this was a Rose-oriented update, i was pretty surprised by the lack of all and any Rose-themed bonus songs that we had, and it's nice that in the end she at least got one that she deserved.

Personally, i am not suuuper proud of this track, however i do believe that it does its job very well as being a Rosemary date track. I am especially proud of my work on the piano in this piece. I spent way too much time on mixing specifically - the bass always seemed too strong no matter what i did to it (probably since i layered a regular bass and a chiptune bass, so they ended up clashing in the mix). Eventually i sorta found a sweet spot though. Sorta. Either way, in the end, you can polish your artpiece for eternity, so you gotta learn to find your limit.

While it's not necessarily a direct reference, i decided to base the track strongly around Kanaya's theme, specifically by using the same instruments (piano, sleigh bells, bongos etc.) I also referenced Rose the same way, although much less obviously (it's just the strings (it becomes even less obvious of a reference considering the strings are partly just a Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There reference lmao)). At some point i realised that the entire track sounds very suspiciously like Specialist from Persona 4, so do what you wish with that info.

This track was initially made for fun and inspired by a land for a character from the Aleph Null MSPFA. I had it stashed for a while until this LOFAM came and I remembered about this piece. After browsing the wiki for a bit, I realised that it fits Karkat's land perfectly, and after a few adjustments it became this.

The heavy piano idea came from the intro to DCEU Lex Luthor's theme.

If I were to characterize this, I would say that while Phaze and Blood shows us the more aggressive and violent nature of the land, this track represents the more sombre and tragic nature of it. "(Karkat) thinks he was put on this planet covered in an ocean of his own blood to be taunted. Punished for something. Saddest story you ever heard."

I got the idea for this track after watching S2E3 of Helluva Boss and thinking that making a track with a mafia aesthetic would be a cool idea. Also, around that time I heard Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit and was amazed at how many different parts and elements it had working perfectly in unison, and making a chaotic jazz-ish track was a great opportunity to try and replicate something like that.
This track was initially called Musty Mafia, however, when LOFAM came around, I realised that it would be a perfect track for the Midnight Crew/Spades Slick and decided to expand it from a small sketch to a full track (always save your music sketches lol). I decided to make the new title a pun, like most titles in Midnight Crew: Drawing Dead are, and so the title ""Ace-celerando"" came to be, coming from the words Ace and Accelerando (Although I had to go through variations such as Acelerando, Ace-lerando etc).
The scene that I imagine for this track is someone listening to an old record in a bar, the Midnight Crew sitting there, playing cards, drinking, when suddenly a violent gunfight breaks out. Four out of three members are defeated, and only Slick is left, however he gathers the strength he needs, reloads, and finally comes out on top in the end.
Also, 4:13, hehe. Gotta love when that happens.

I made this track for fun, it being a tribute (?) to Act 1 of the mod and as a bonus to anyone who checked out the OST outside of the mod.
I was never really that good with jamming references into my tracks, however one day something possessed me (Grace said it was her. I believe her.) and i decided to pump out THIS beauty/abomination.
I wanted to make the music wiki editors' life hell with this track, but jokes on me, i am the editor for this album! (I still succeeded. Ha.)

Other than Grimdate i also made a trailer theme for the mod's showcase at the 2023's New Year SAHCON. Since Act 2 was mainly a Rose-centered update, i decided to go the very obvious route and make it a remix of Aggrieve, her theme. I also decided to take a bit from each version, like the chiptune from the original, the chimes from Aggrievance and the guitar from Aggrievocation.
Instead of abandoning the track, i decided to extend it to the length of a full proper piece as a sort of final bonus for the release of the album.

Hey y'all, i am doing stuff for a new mspfa! Check it out!

Null & Void is based on the first proper fight in the comic. It happens in a diner, and, as such, my "beta" track name for this was "Diner Demolition". However, after ruminating and talk about it, i settled on the current name, as it can be reused for other situations in the comic (since the comic actually plays music as you read it!! Wow!!), and plus it simply sounds "neater". Also, has that "Live & Learn" thing going on.

I was asked to make the track very Jet Set Radio, which is good considering that's what my idea was in the first place! Well, that combined with some jazzy hard rock, all to make a jojo-ish vibe. I decided to use some very staccato (is that how you use that term..?) guitars, and to overall make the track feel as punchy as possible. I was considering on using Orange Disc (by JeeflyMania )'s melody as the main melody of this track, however i decided against it, since the music and melodies of the comic are still developing, and at an early stage it's good to have many to pick from. Who knows, maybe i'll make an extended version of this track with that melody in it, eventually....? Not promising anything though, hoohoo.

Also - i made sure that this track would be timed perfectly to each of the moments of the fight. I can happily say that i succeeded, but do feel free to check out to comic to see if i am right.

Coulrocide is a track which i had worked on for quite a while, and one which I am personally very, very proud of. It has everything - orchestra, electronic, breakcore... I tend to compose music which i would personally listen to, and this is DEFINITELY such a track. There's a hell of a punch in it, and for a reason.

While making this song i had realized that there aren't really any tracks made for the grand battle of the ICP vs Alpha Strider??? So, of course, I tried to give the scene justice, considering its context.

Every part goes back and forth between Dave and ICP having the upper hand in the battle, and it is reflected in the feel and the motifs of each separate segment. I tried to represent the full story with the melodies, from the start to the gory end. If you listen closely, you can hear each part:

- (0:00) The Juggalos overlooking their domain.
- (1:23) Dave appearing to challenge them.
- (1:45) The combatants walking towards eachother, walk transitioning to run.
- (2:00) The battle commencing.
- (5:46) The juggalos' last ditch attempt to kill Strider.
- (5:55) Single conclusive SLICE to kill them both, the clowns' bodies falling heavily onto the ground.

And finally,

- (6:02)
        TT: The few witnesses would report seeing only a man with a sword on a shitty skateboard, gently rising into the night sky.
        TT: No one ever saw him again.

(P.S, the whistling at the end was me. Since i am kinda bad at whistling, i pitched it up quite a bit.)

I would also very much like to thank PuyoPuyoESports for coming up with the track name "Coulrocide" (it was Clownicide before that) and Puff for giving me the inspiration to make this track with their absolutely lovely artwork!
