Wang Podcast 17 Oct 2018 chill afternoon with the first lady

There's no short way describing this, but DJ Dade aka ya Dade juga sih or Seuz Dad was one of the busiest djs (1945MF back then) ever known in the local scene. That's when i first met him, and started following him around from club to club, gig to gig, and other parties. I had the pleasure to learn from the guy from inside the dj booth while many others had to do it from the dancefloor. I had almost zero dj ing skill, i even thought cdj came with a remote when i first bought them cdj100s from Andre Kotot hahahahaha(i know!?). As a result, not only i got most of my dj ing skill from him, i got myself a mentor and a brother, who later became one of my groomsmen and gave speech at my wedding. 
and we share our love and passion for the Viva Music and Viva Warriors head honcho, Steve Lawler! and will always be! 
Miteng, Ridwan, Nabul, Shawn and Ghita were all here at Wang and made it an even more fun lazy Sunday than it already did.

Ridwan Gozali aka Ridwan G is one of my oldest buds and one of the Sunset People Project frontmen, we go way back since UPH and Mensa era (capsaaa!?!). Beside Dade's studio, his dj/play room was one of the first proper dj room with fresh 2 MK2 turntables ive ever seen back then. Still remembered hanging out at his room with Nyemee playing Morgan Geist's 24k and others kept playing it over and over again that same night hahaha, and never got bored to this day! Had the pleasure to be in the same label, Imperial Beat for a while, and after that his career in this industry has been a smooth sailing up until now! I wish i could say the same about our relationship (LOL), but that's what buddies usually do. We now know better each other which button not to press. Too bad he had errand to do while in the middle of the set, so he summed it up to this short but sweet 56 mins mix... and promised to continue it later... which i will collect aggressively (haha!)

Entering the first day of Capricorn month, Iman Sadeq aka Odeq aka Gerobak Marto  (real name) best known as one of the mighty Dub Container frontmen, who’s also my best bud and a regular wangkers along with Sisca, the wife and Nayaka, my main man…First met the dude at Micko’s Lembang41 house (RIP L41..i really enjoyed every minute of growing up there and met a lot of new people thanks to that place), but it was not until we met and hung out again at Bellagio briefly and Armadha’s Triloka house (also RIP to that legendary red room, and also THE place where I grew up mentally and met a lot of new and super random people) we hit it off immediately and stay close and tight  and hang together up till now, and I was honored to have him as one of my groomsmen and gave a speech at my wedding. If you ever wonder why we tight like this till now, all I can say is….MUST BE THE MOONLITE! Yosia, Cherryl, Okay, Arya Hiram, Sisca, Abob, Tithe the regular Wangkers and Kafi, Baldi, Lano all came here and made this first day of capricorn month even merrier and more fun...So, please enjoy this first Wang Podcast from him, although he had to stopped in the middle of the set because Lord Nayaka just recovered from flu and needed his rest…oh and it was also passed kid’s sleeping time anyway hahahahahaa… but just like Ridwan, he promised to continue it again some other time and I also WILL collect aggressively… Cheers guys!

On the very chrsitmas eve, my bro, Kubil aka Kurang Stabil (skr Dubil – dulu nya labil #eyaa) aka CoolDudeSociety’s name popped up on my phone and then this unexpected podcast was created! I got my Christmas present early! HA! I’ve known this guy not as long as many others, BUT we became friends and got tight at Suria 2, Cyberjaya (the other half of CoolDudeSociety, my neighbor in Jakarta, an ex asshole and now Prince of Riau that I love with all my heart, Mr. Ari Nugroho aka Lxxxtronek aka Electrovirgo agogo please don’t go donk ketua!) and Sunway era, which was THE BEST era hahahaahahha LOL, well lucky me. This dude also was the one of the people who made it possible for me and Damara to be where we are right now. No matter what, like seriously no matter what at all, he got my back and always in a reasonable point of view for her, I was afraid you were overselling me back then hahahahahahahha but that’ll be my job to prove it to you that you weren’t. My man here gonna get hitch SOON on February, and I am so looking forward to be there and witness your moment of happiness. Congrats and good luck brother! Okay back to this podcast, this set is dedicated to his KL era, and we’re calling it SURIA II Kubil’s Choice of Classics! Damn hearing it again DO really gives me a LOT of flashback and chills…and hearing a confession that he and Are took my Mugwump’s Alive and Kicking vinyl while he played it gave us the laugh. So that Christmas eve was full of laughs and good flashbacks!! Thank You BroKubs….and I hope you all enjoy it and have a great flashback! CHEERS!!!

The first ever podcast this year is unusual, unplanned, (thanks to DJM 350 and a borrowed flashdisk) and what made it special, it was recorded live in Bali at Mano Beach House during golden hour sunset session and the man behind the deck was of course no other than Mano's music boss himself, Lay aka Kembar Bulan aka Durian (Dulunya Rian), the very same guy who also gave me a lot of knowledge in my years of developing this and that in dj ing stuff. I got my first ever love in minimal when he made an experimental mixtape! what was experiment for him, turned out was an eye opener for me! He is now taking care of both Mano Beach House and El Kabron's music and line ups. And believe it or not, moving to Bali and playing music there was his regular daydreaming when we hung out at parties almost every week.. And my dear friend not just only made it there, he is now living the dream to the fullest out there!! Hope you all enjoy this wonderful set like i did! OH and the sunset that day was so on point i have to put it as the track artwork! Cheers!!
