The raw live recording of our set from Esoteric Festival 2020. We were greeted by a beautiful sunset and our best friends along with the beautiful souls that made this Esoteric experience an amazing one. A massive thank you to Bushtechno, especially Michael Muska for holding a space that truly represents who we are as a culture. And a special mention to Chia Jen art for yet another beautiful display of ultimate doof art, the bushtechno stage was such a sight to behold. 

Choons are a pure representation of evening psychedelic, proggy chug. Music that we feel resonates best with the Australian bush.

Mounish's journey in the world of music is a fascinating exploration of passion and serendipity. His initial foray into guitar at a young age set the foundation for his love of music. Despite having to drop out of a music institution due to time constraints, his ardor for music persisted, leading him to explore various genres.

The turning point in Mounish's musical journey came with his serendipitous discovery of Electronic music. The eloquence in the grooves of Electronic music struck a chord with him, igniting a passion that would shape his future endeavors. This newfound love for Electronic music inspired him to become a DJ, sharing the stage with local heroes and cultivating a unique musical style.

Techno, Organic Psytrance, and Bush Progressive became the hallmarks of Mounish's evolving music style. Influenced by a diverse array of artists, including Gruener Starr, Johnny Aemkel, Calm Chor, Maksim Dark, Ken Zo, AlkalOid, Grouch, Mezzle, VOX, Patrick Arbez, Samewise, Gaga & Mateo, Vasco Ug, Patrick Hochweiss, Planctophob, Luis M, John haden, Brainlove, Merkaba, Eartheogen, Pspiralife, Klipsun, Freedom Fighters, Interpulse, Shadow FX, Smilk, Sumiruna, Tekdiffeye, Smoke Sign, Gaia Groove and many more. A ferociously silly creature emerges from the uncut grass, pointed snout canvassing the dancefloor to find the sweet-spot of intersecting frequencies. He straddles the fence between forest and nightpsy, outputting groovy, introspective basslines that ride the crest of intoxicating leads and gurgling synths. After 12 years of declaring "I have that song", he's finally ready to blindly lead hippies into the unknown.

My love for DnB began when one of my best mates 'Aki' got me into the underground Drum and Base scene in Japan where I lived from the age of 16. 
With 17 years of dancing my tits off, and since recently coming back to Melbourne, I have had the chance to head out at my favorite joint MyAeon. Since getting to know the locals, and getting pursueded into jumping on the decks, I bought my kit during Covid, and have gone full speed ahead with my soul lifting out of my skin each time I jump on my  DDJ400s 🤣🤙🏼.

I have to admit this is one of the best decisions I have ever made, and though at 33, it does feel a bit late, but it doesn't phase me one bit!

Huge shout out to all my mates and artists out there, especially MyAeon and the Crew! Because without you, I definately wouldn't have embarked on this amazing journey.

I will be satisfied if I can play out just for 1 night, and since making my first mix I aim to keep working on it and learning more, and one day play it out somewhere 🤫🎉
