These basement practice session recordings were produced by Dave. We prepared for Frank Chandek’s ‘Goodbye Milwaukee, I’m moving to Panama’ show at Linneman’s in Spring 2018.

One Guitar CCXCVII

I am a musician in Madison, Wi., USA.  I spend a lot of time performing in my band, Samba Novistas, playing a mix of Brazilian music such as samba, bossa nova, forro, MPB, samba reggae, xote, lambada, pagode, and a bunch of american songs with a brazilian flavor thrown in.  My singer Anapaula Strader and I perform a lot as a duo also, including many guests to sit in with us.  My other band, Fantasy not Fiction is just getting ourself out to perform recently, with our new singer Brian Dixon.  World fusion flavor with soulful vocals.  Most of my music for performance has a strong feel for dance; watching people dance to your music just makes it easier!  I also do home recordings; working on my instrument and production skills with occasional guest vocalists.
