Little Wing

The main guitar track was recorded using a Martin D-15 acoustic on June 26th, 2015 in Ferndale, Michigan to a Zoom H2 digital recorder. Overdubbing occurred on July 1, 2015 at Cancer Moonchild, St. Clair Shores, Michigan using a Fender Telecaster. 

Rosewood Sunset

This is a "live" recording of a piece composed with a digital, "Frippertronics" type "loop" system. In this piece I used a Fender Telecaster run through a Digitech RP500 multi-effects unit to a Boss RC-20XL "Loop" recorder.  Both the RP500 and the RC-20XL were set to "loop" or infinitely repeat phrases played with the Telecaster. The RP500 played it's looped guitar phrases in a regular forward fashion while the RC-20's recorded loops played back in reverse form and were simultaneously blended with the RP500's loops. The volume levels of the two looping units could then be adjusted against each other. The piece was recorded with a Zoom H2 digital recorder at 44.1khz/16 bit in .WAV form as it was being performed.

Abernathyite

The first piece of 2016, this consists of three tracks. The main track is a recording of a Teddy bear 's windup music box which was reversed and slowed down by 55%. The second track is a sitar drone that was slowed down by 34%. The third track was a recording of a looped guitar improvisation that was slowed down by 25%. 

Calixtinus

"Capricornicus" is a 46 minute experimental "sound painting" comprised of old reel to reel tapes, field recordings, and other "found" sounds. The 15 individual source tapes/recordings used in "Capricornicus" were processed in various ways and mixed using Reaper recording software.

Capricornicus

This is a "live to mono" recording made to test out an analog reel to reel tape recording setup in my home studio. The recorder is a 1964 OKI 555 2-Track reel to reel using a 1/4" tape width recording at 7.5 i.p.s.
