On this 75th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, I'm thinking about my Grandpa and Grandma Brady. Their lives were defined in large part by  World War 2. They're both gone now but about 15 years ago I had an opportunity to ask them about their experience when they learned the news. Grandpa was in the mess line at Fort Lewis in Washington when he heard. He was planning to be in the service one year and then go to college. He was very disappointed and expresses that in this audio clip. Grandma was living in Southern Oregon and remembers hearing the news on the radio.
