Paco Osuna welcomes back Markantonio on his Mindshake Records for a brand new three tracks EP called “Disconation” following up his 2021 debut with "Big Up".

Markantonio is one of Italy's techno artists and one of those who helped launch the country's nightclub scene in the '90s. His career spanned 20 years as he toured the world as a star DJ representing Naples’ Techno sound and releasing successful & massive tracks on labels ranging from Second State, Drumcode, Set About, Odd Recordings, Intec and his label AnalyticTrail.

Markantonio brings another dimension to his creativity with a house / tech house release as “Disconation” opens the EP with a groovy percussion, splashing vocals and riff chord melody which brings back the old disco sound. The old school vibe continues with the second track Music Is My Weapon which is defined the melodic shots, reverbed vocals in the background and dancing rhythms. Closing the EP is Jackin Day with a dark mood and pounding beats as Markantonio injects some more rounded, rubbery tones into it.

Jefferson D cooks up techno.
The old saying ‘you’ll dance to what’s put in front of you’ goes well here. But on the other hand, it doesn’t fit at all. 
We’re talking about the techno DJ Jefferson D from Bielefeld – known to his friends simply as Jeff. He’s been around for so long that I, as writer, would get a quick Bosnian slap in the face if I mentioned any dates.  
Okay, that wasn’t all that brave: anyone who’s ever met Jeff knows he’s soft really. Always straightforward, but fair. Slap. 
That’s what I thought. Okay, so why does the saying suit him well? That’s simple - he’s a trained and working cook and knows, of course, how to party through the night with all kinds of musical and culinary delights. And how to serve up something rich and dirty to a screaming mob until they burst. 
He came to Germany in 1995 from the war-torn but beautiful country of Bosnia (if you’ve every been there, you’ll know what I’m talking about). He began training as a cook and one year later he went to Berlin for the ‘Life on Mars’ Mayday event. Well, after a night like that it was clear what was to come: turntables, records, cooking up techno. Jeff started out and added rich bass roasts to his menu.  
The years have gone by in no time. And Jeff and his soundmix have developed. Enriched with a fresh, sometimes exotic salad of snares, a melodic undertone now sweetens up the whipping click-clack fields of his beat-dominated blast sets. 
Horizon music, straightforward.    
He also done some live show-cooking with a few famous names in the industry, but listing them here wouldn’t make the goose (or the roast) any fatter.    
So! And why doesn’t the saying suit him at all? 
Because Jeff, a.k.a. Jefferson D, doesn’t use leftovers, doesn’t warm up old stuff, doesn’t just throw anything together.
