This is the demo we used to trick Matt Dinniman into working with us. It gives an idea what a deep dive for DCC would sound like, but this is with our old method that basically just added sfx to an audiobook. If we do a Deep Dive into Dungeon Crawler Carl, we would be seriously altering the experience, taking out narration in favor of more dialogue with Carl, Donut, or any of the other characters. And things like the recap episodes of Dungeon Crawler World would be fully produced in audio, instead of listening to Carl describe it. And we would start completely from scratch, meaning that I would be going back to the beginning with my Carl voice having been perfected by the many books that will have served as practice. 

And yes, that is Annie yowling as Donut.

0:00 - 9:20: This is the theme music for all five of the current Divine Series by M.R. Forbes. This was my first experiment with several variations on one theme, and I love how they turned out. Each one expresses a different mood for each installment of the series, but they're all tied together in a satisfying way.

9:20 - 10:04: This is the theme for the second part of the Ghost and Magic series by M.R. Forbes. I love compound signatures, and 7/8 might be my favorite. This piece is similar in mood to the Divine Series for obvious reasons, but I wanted to go with a smaller, more intimate ensemble.

10:05 - 11:52: The Strongbow Saga by Judson Roberts. This is another theme in 7, and you can probably tell by now how much I love drums! The first piece here is used for the entire series, but the second one I did just for fun. I wanted to take the same piece, but fit the ensemble on a Viking longboat!

11:52 - 13:30: The Wolf Tattoo by Kenneth Fore. This was my first composition for an audio book. It's a scifi thriller set in the Alaskan wilderness, so I wanted to capture that open, barren and cold feeling with this piece, but still add an element of dread.

13:32 - 14:05: A little arrangement of the folk classic, Shenandoah. I put this together for the audio version of "Chase the Wild Pigeons" by Jon J. Gschwend Jr. It's a historical fiction set in the Civil War, and one of the protagonists plays this song on his harmonica a lot, so I learned how to play it as well!
