World renowned music star and former president of Haiti, Michel Martelly first rose to prominence as one of the island's best-known musicians. Known by his stage name “Sweet Micky,” Martelly modernized a style of Haitian dance music known as compas music (Kompa), sung predominantly in the Creole language, by using smaller bands relying on synthesizers and electronic instruments. Martelly has released numerous studio albums since 1989 and continues to remain active - musically and socio-politically. Following up on his recent release “Yo Fache” presented here is his latest, the addicting new single entitled "Kole” - a track guaranteed to continue the legacy.

What's up, everyone? I'm dropping the perfect soundtrack for those 3 AM drives through the city when you can't quite shake a memory. This is "กลางคืนกลืนดาว"—a deep dive into Neosoul, Lo-fi, and City Pop.

This whole track is about the city refusing to sleep and a heart refusing to forget.

Listen closely to the production: we kept it smooth but tight. You'll hear that warm J-bass walking in 8ths right under the surface, perfectly glued together with the dry snare rim and those brushed hats (listen for that subtle sidechain pumping). The keys are all Rhodes, Juno, and tape saturation—pure vintage velvet.

The vocals are a conversation. The female lead is breathy and soaring, capturing that emotional ache, while the male rap drops in with that laid-back swing, giving you the reflective, late-night perspective.

The whole thing builds to that final, powerful E maj7 modulation—that's the moment the city lights up and the emotion breaks through. When you hear the Post-Chorus duet—“อย่าลืมฉันนะ! จะจำจนฟ้าสว่าง!”—that’s the whole point of the song.

เพลงนี้คือซาวด์แทร็กสำหรับการขับรถตอนตี 3 ในเมืองใหญ่ ที่คุณยังไม่ยอมให้ความทรงจำนั้นจางหายไปไหน เราผสมผสานความลึกของ Neosoul เข้ากับความชิลของ Lo-fi และสีสันของ City Pop เพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศที่ทั้งสวยงามและขมขื่น
