"Adult Contemporary follow up that superlative entry from Lord Of The Isles in belated but worthy fashion, as Dany Dorado takes the helm for a double dose of well judged South American disco that's aimed at switching the mood from the horizontal to vertical and inclined to dance. This release marks the vinyl debut for the Chilean producer and what a debut it is, as the lead track "Crepusculo" gently rolls into life via a near infinite expanse of balearic sound. Just as you're senses lose focus amidst this inviting backdrop, an almighty arpeggio lead surfaces and heads skyward atop a strident disco kick. "Fuga" is less shy in its intentions, swiftly settling into a fluttering electronic disco arrangement akin to Lindstrom at his most Scandolearic which is again driven by drums which have real substance to them. "Memory and Matter comprises selected remixes and rarities from the past seven years, nine of them previously unreleased and many of them only issued only on hard to find EPs or as Japanese release bonus tracks. Far from being merely a collection of every single oddity, these tracks were carefully selected into a consistent whole that maintains the same high standard of proper Manual albums. This two-disc compilation is also a labor of love.

Like it's predecessor, Lost Days, Open Skies and Streaming Tides, released in 2007, disc one demonstrates Jonas Munk aka Manual's expertise in creating elegantly layered, shoegazey pop, while disc two focuses on minimalist, slow-moving pieces created mostly from processed guitars. The latter adds an excellent postscript to Confluence - an album that has gained near-classic status in ambient/drone circles since it's release in 2008.

Munk's way of remixing other artists usually involves a complete reconstruction of the original piece, rearranging heavily and adding loads of fresh layers of sound to it, which is obvious when listening to his haunting and atmospheric reworkings of Blue Foundation's ballad ”Dressed in Black” or Mice Parade singer Caroline's ”Sleep”, or the Robin Guthrie produced Annie Barker track ”Cruel”. For Manual fans it's a treat to hear Munk's lush signature sound paired up with (often female) vocals. Disc 1 closes with the 17 minute Manual original ”Camellia”, the most new age-indebted piece in the Manual oeuvre, originally created for a digital-only compilation on Attack9. The track's placid sense of drift and delicately weaved harmonies makes it a standout in Munk's entire body of work.

Disc 2 is darker, more ambiguous in tone, with ”Three Parts” as the center piece – an enigmatic composition originally created for Ghostly International's ambient/drone compilation SMM: Context in 2011. Other notable selections includes ”Fields”, a meditative collaboration with Jason Kolb from Auburn Lull, and ”Memento”, a somber piece that exhibits Munk's flair for intensive guitar manipulation."

We grabbed this one from Ryan aka The Beat Broker a couple of years ago while inquiring about new music. We fell in love with "Pacific Break" immediately. Later that year our good friend Phil Mison was in town for a party we were hosting. We asked him if he would be interested in remixing it. Luckily he and Pete Herbert agreed and now we have the inaugural release on 180 Gram Vinyl to present. Please play and feel free to share. Available on 12” Single. 180-gram Black Vinyl Only.

Italo-German Vincenzo returns to Anjunadeep with “Just Like Heaven”, the first single taken from his forthcoming fourth artist album “The Vanishing Years”. Having built his reputation over nearly two decades with timeless releases on iconic labels like Steve Bug’s Dessous and Anjunadeep itself, the album is shaping up to be an excellent reminder of Vincenzo’s impressive talent and longevity.

“Just Like Heaven” might be instantly recognisable to some as a cover of The Cure’s celebrated 1987 single. Vincenzo teams up once again with vocalist Minako Sasajima, who adds a delicate soul to Robert Smith’s romantic lyrics, which glide above a floating bass groove and falling synths. Full of emotion and colour, “Just Like Heaven” sees Vincenzo at the top of his game.

The first of two exciting remixes comes from another veteran of the German scene, Dave DK. A former resident at the legendary Panorama Bar, Dave’s recent releases on the excellent Pampa Records and Kompakt have been met with widespread acclaim, and he delivers another beauty here. Twisting the vocal almost beyond recognition, and layering it with dark melodies and left-field textures, Dave creates a memorable piece of atmospheric techno.

Swedish rising star HNNY is another artist on a hot streak thanks to recent EPs on Local Talk and Permanent Vacation. Taking an altogether different approach to Dave DK, HNNY’s remix is a raw and quirky slice of melodic house music, driven along by infectious bass stabs and twinkling melodies.

This project was very unique for us to work on because he took the acoustic signatures and sounds from thousands of GE machines and worked with their Acoustics Engineer to create an entire original musical composition. We then put our own Benoit & Sergio spin on the track.

The Grit In The Pearl

Delicate Noise returns with the companion release to 2009’s Filmezza, with an intriguing collection of remixes from an even more intriguing list of talent. From established electronic artists to young, up and coming artists from around the globe - Filmezza Remixes  is a diverse yet cohesive collection of tracks that finds the Delicate Noise sound reaching out into new sonic territory.

Filmezza Remixes features the work of:

Jauzas the Shining (France) - a very active live performer and producer of bleak, stripped-down Electro.

Sunao Inami (Japan) - has an extensive knowledge of both analog and digital synthesis and is also a key figure in the field of wavetable synthesis. He is the founder of the Electro-ohm label and has toured throughout the world.

10-20 (UK) - is influenced by the coastal and elemental forces of the environment of his homeland, evident in the scope of intricate sounds layered and woven into the rough shorn textures of his music.

Document One (Iceland) - is a young musician influenced by a broad spectrum of music from the 60’s and 70’s all the way up to modern and current sounds.

Heinrich Dressel (Italy) - is founder of the MinimalRome label and also performs under the name Composite Profuse. His sound is a mixture of archeological soundtracks, horror movies and psychedelic electronics all made with vintage analogue synths and solo improvisations.

Knowing Looks (Canada) - resides in Toronto and has toured Europe, the Middle East & the former Soviet republics just to name a few.

Tension Co. (Spain) - this duo from Seville possesses a sound infused with influences of atmospheric noise, digital minimalism and electroacoustic music combined with illtreated manipulations of elemental materials like metal, wood, hair, wind and electronics.
