I should take the time to thank and praise Brent Rawlings.  Without him I would sitting around the house, writing and then forgetting songs.  But thanks to Brent, who has faith in me or something, I get to write these songs, record them, and then forget them.  This one is the original Rawlings recording, with Brent on bass, and Jason Rawlings on the crappiest drumset I have ever seen.

This song was originally recorded for the Peep Jr. record but I thought it was to fast (it was).  This version was recorded in a subsequent version of the band, after Seth and Trev moved away, featuring Brent Rawlings on bass.  No keys.  We "discovered" this recently and damned if I wasn't pleasantly surprised.

This is a rough mix.  Nikki Oliff of Secret Policeman's Ball agreed to sing on this one.  Jason Rawlings on drums.  And I'm sure Gary's laughing somewhere in the background.  I'll post the final mix if we ever finally mix it.

One more Aposholes track for ya'll to peep.  Originally it was to be on the EP exclusively, but I moved it up in the lineup and bumped the one song that really wasn't working for me.  Musical Darwinism.

AMBULANCE

True Story.  A class of fifth graders in Lompac, CA had a science project.  They incubated a chicken egg which sucessfully hatched, and then took notes on the developement of the new chick whose name happened to be Peep, Jr.  Peep was making good progress, being well care for, and hitting all his milestones.  The class was really taking to him and he became a mascot of sorts.  One fine California day, and California days can be extremely fine, the teacher decided that it was time to get Peep, Jr. some sunshine and fresh air.  The kids couldn't wait for recess, and when it finally arrived they excitedly took Peep, Jr. out to the yard and let him loose in the grass.  He was finally getting a taste of the natural world, the sun on his downy feathers, the cool grass under his feet.  A shadow feel across him, and who knows maybe he sensed that something was wrong.  Then it hit him.  He was clutched in the talons of a chicken hawk who carried him to the top of a untility pole not twenty yards away, as the children looked on with shock and horror.  So many questions raced through their heads, questions that would no doubt resurface at various points throughout the remainder of their lives.  The headline read, "Fifth Graders Learn A Ghastly Life Lesson."
