Make Me See…this was written by Ray Beck and I on May 1, 2020 with Ray mixing, recording and engineering at New Future Studio in Belmar NJ. I play drums and tambourine and came up with bassline, Ray did everything else and added an outro vocal. First day of May coming out of a wet spring in the beginning of pandemic/quarantine, still a little nervous to hang with people. It was raining and shitty, the wind was howling and then it started hailing. Ray and I were jamming on drums and guitar seeing if we could find a groove. We couldn’t. Then amazingly the storm passed and the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful day…summer was on the way. We lit a joint and I played music out of my car speakers with the windows down. Talked about wanting to make something to drive with your hand out the window. We went back in, improvised the groove and liked the vibe in play back. The bass and guitars were overdubbed within 10 minutes. Ray took it to his home studio, looped it and added some outro vocals. We plan on finishing it but I want people to hear it.
