Ce Ce Peniston - "Finally (I Found A Perfect Love)" (Jeff Poirier Mashup)

I remixed this track about a week before my first real (big city/non-surburban club) gig.  It was at Twist in South Beach, Miami.  My friend Alex Tsopanakis made the flier for the club and Jose Gonzalez got me the gig.  It was the first time I was able to play what I wanted all night --> and no requests!! (well except from Jose and Alex)  One of the best DJing nights I ever had...

Barbara Tucker - Give Me Something (Jeff Poirier Seismic Dub)

I did this mashup back in 2002 or 2003.  I had read somewhere a few years ago that this mix was in an episode of "Queer as Folk."  I had only seen a few episodes and I wasn't going to buy the whole series to see if it was true or not.  John Michael DiSpirito was visiting for a few days and somehow we found a clip on YouTube.  Needless to say, I had permagrin for a good hour LOL!

Boris Dlugosch - Hold Your Head Up High (Jeff Poirier Mashup)

Holy ridiculously long track name, Batman!  Anyway, I had started working on this last week before Peter's passing.  This is my favorite track on the Club 69 "Restyled" album.  The drums and synths in this track drive me insane, but you know, in a good way ;-)

I was so excited to get the CD after listening to the extended mixes on vinyl, only to be *slightly* disappointed that my favorite tracks "I Look Good" and "Twisted (Friburn & Urik)" mixes were edited down to fit the time constraints on the CD.  I tried to recreate the version on the double pack from the CD version.
