F R A G M E N T 4: Serendipity

Back to the basics. Somewhere along this amazing journey of music and DJing, I lost sight of what I originally envisioned the FF series to be. I created Friday Feels as a way to consolidate my favorite music so that I didn't have to constantly shuffle/skip tracks to find the music I actually wanted to listen to. Years later, I got caught up comparing myself to all the amazing producers/DJs around me and lost my way. But I've finally found and made peace with who I am as a DJ.

It's about damn time! Another helluva ride since we last spoke - played a few shows: a virtual minecraft music festival hosted by Avodia and even another live gig with my friends over at Trigger Collective :) This mix was heavily influenced by those two events and one big life moment for me.. I got engaged!

My girlfriend and I have been together for about 7 years at this point and she's been my rock through all the highs and lows of life. And man... there were lots of lows. A lot of nights where I couldn't go to sleep. A lot of mornings where I couldn't get up. So this is kinda dedicated to that. I hope that whoever you are, wherever you are, and whatever you're going through you'll make your way back from the pits, back from the depths, and back from the void. -VT

Continuing on the success of the first version, ATLAS NOIR presents his latest melodic bass offering, THE LOST LOVE LETTER: AN INTROSPECTIVE. This collection of edits, mashups, and personal favorite records looks to tell a story of a person growing out of blaming others for the way life turned out.  The protagonist of this story comes to the conclusion that in the process of blaming others, they’ve pushed themselves into a darker place. Heartbreak is not the sole reason for their shortcomings. Much of life is in their own hands to shape, and it’s a commitment to strive for self-improvement daily.

(simp)phony No. 5: Garden of Solace Ft. ETHEN

Chapter 10 marks my 20th mix ever since starting this music project, and of course I had to go back to my roots: melodic bass/ melodic dubstep. For this mix, I wanted to make it special and try incorporating a little bit of each chapter into one. So please excuse the length of this mix, there were so many songs I wanted to use since taking a break off these genres for 2 mixes.
