Elongation is the ability or act to extend (to become longer) in dimensions (e.g. length) or in time. In material science it is the dimensional changes due to a pulling force on a subject. Like pulling a rubber band.

This instrumental is based on 2 chords: Dmaj7 and Em. 
I recorded 3 guitar tracks, 2 with ‘black cow’, my favorit 'SG like' guitar, (left and right) and one lead with the Fender (center). I added some harmonica with delay effects for soundscaping and finally some frame drum (Bohdran).

Elongation

The song was inspired by the upcoming fall (autumn) when leaves turn to gold and the nights are getting colder an the days shorter. You realize that the warm summer is gone. There is also a link with the phases in life as I notice that I’m also heading to the ‘the fall’

I recorded the ticking of the clock in the music room and added a small delay effect to it. It serves nicely as the rhythm part of the song, together with a strong bass, representing the running of time in life.
The rhythm guitar track is played on the low strings of ‘black cow’. Both guitar solos are also recorded with ‘black cow’.
Finally I recorded a piano track with the Yamaha keyboard and vocals
