My friend John and I played this live in my studio, Him on bass, me on Guitar and Vox.  The piano, strings, and flute, were added later.

My old friend Ed Smith stopped by to sing and play the guitar.  Thanks for stopping by, Ed!  After he left I had to recreate the drums, back-ups, pianos, pedal steel guitar bass, trombone, and clone out chair squeaks, and breathing noises, and such.  

It was  fun and I hope you agree sounds much like the song recorded by AC back in the mid 1970s.

A most popular original for my band in the late `80s.  We had all kinds of layered keyboards and gated drums.  Phil Collins and Michael Jackson influence. Dig the back-up vocals which were layered by me and Tom Vogel.

A musician from age 4, Jeff started on a portable reed organ, and his Grandfather taught him music on a Hammond M-105 that Jeff still has in working order today.  First picking up the guitar at age 8, this was short lived when the family moved away from his teacher: Grandpa Joe.  The ¾ sized guitar remained untouched until age 13, when Jeff discovered rock and hard rock music.

Finding that ”Fake Books” were expensive and  generally vague or totally incorrect, Jeff turned to learning songs and techniques for the guitar from the records and tapes of his musical heroes.  First, Kiss, Starz, Alice Cooper, and other hard rock bands, but then discovering Jazz, much time was spent with Al Di Meola records; very much time.

Jeff, also fascinated with the mechanics of recording music attended the Center for the Media Arts Recording Arts Program and learned to engineer and produce music.  He managed a recording/rehearsal studio and became a well liked producer for  musical talent in the Rutherford, NJ area.  

As soon as Jeff had a personal computer, he began using it to record music.  He explored different software as it evolved and currently favors Propeller Head’s Reason.

Recently, in 2011 he attempted to incorporate band membership back into his life, but lots of travel and a hectic schedule hindered that effort, though it did rekindle his love for performing live music with others.  Currently, it is looking hopeful that his schedule will stabilize enough to attempt joining a band again.

Jeff has a versatile voice, and loves playing a large variety of music, but isn’t very in to pop music, or county.  While not a big rap/hip hop fan, he does love funk and Motown.  Jeff also enjoys classic rock, progressive rock, jazz, and classical music.  Jeff enjoys living in the West Palm Beach area, and will not be returning to New Jersey of his free will.
