It was such an incredible honour to make my mainstage debut at @elementsfestival this year!
For me, Elements is the beacon of hope for the Australian festival scene in our current climate. They've been able to showcase the incredible talent that has been growing in our own backyard. So for me to have such an incredible Saturday mainstage slot is a memory that will last a lifetime. 
I hope that when you listen to this set, it transports you to that beautiful dancefloor among the trees and gives you the chance to feel even just a portion of the happiness and emotions that I did back on this life-changing day!

This is a recording from my set in the infamous cage at Revolver Upstairs. I played 3:30pm to 5:00pm Sunday afternoon. By far the funnest set i've played to date. And to be able bring the sounds i love to the cage was a dream come true. Massive thanks to @staywise-1 for call up to play at her Ep launch Take over after the Revolver residents. Dark Design @ Dragon Dreaming Festival 2022 (All Original)

Dragon Dreaming 2022 - this festival was the first party I ever attended many years ago, the first time I ever played a set completely made up of my own creations and a place that has shaped my life and sound in so many ways. Seeing it flying again after three long years on hiatus and being reunited with so many special people was an absolute treat. The lake was full, the skies were blue, the grass was green and there were smiles all around. This is a recording of the icing on the cake, being given the privilege of playing the closing set on the main stage was a real full circle moment for me, and one I will always cherish, so thank you to the organisers and everyone who was there for the whole weekend and made it so bloody special. Hope you enjoy <3

Live @ Dragon Dreaming 2022

I got the call up from the legend @staywise-1 to close out the front room at Revolver Upstairs for her recent event 'Shadows'. Playing 6am-7am coming in from Techno and playing fast and hard into the last half of my set where i was able to play some epic closing tracks i've wanted to for a very long time. Thanks to the Dancing punters who were there till they turned the lights on! and Thanks so much Steph and @revolverupstairs for the opportunity to play a beautiful and memorable closing set in such an amazing club. An all original set for Sixth Sense Australia at My Aeon in Melbourne. Had the absolute time of my life, the set features two hours of all original music with a bunch of new melodic techno to kick things off. As it slowly increases in bpm there are some experimental bass sections to break up the 4x4 beat pattern as it heads into more bush prog / deep prog sounds. This week we welcome back Astro Pleasure, an aspiring astronaut from Melbourne’s south east and is currently recruiting crew members to join him on an expedition to space.

AP, the alias of Brodie Hayward is a long time friend of the Proxima community and has had the “pleasure” of being a part of their success so far.

 He draws inspiration from all walks of life and many diverse oddities of music.   AP has explored many different genres and has a versatile musical background under his belt but mainly produces prog and techno. Which offers a truly pleasurable listening experience to those who are lovers of dance music.

Equipped with a whole bunch of world class unreleased tunes as well as an inventory of tastefully picked tunes to suit his uniquely raw blend of melodic yet driving progressive techno, AP will be sure to make you feel something throughout a set.
 
Although talented, Brodie is constantly improving. We don't think it will be much longer until we see him slamming a dusty dance floor at your favourite bush doof and for us at Proxima, we can't wait.

Intercept #57 - Astro Pleasure

This is my recording from My Aeon - 'Lunar's Eclipse' party. I played upstairs  1:30am-3:00am Going through multiple areas from Tribal and progressive Techno, into some bush tech and proper techno and finishing with some proggy melodic trancier tracks. This is my recording from Elements Festival 2022, I played the closing set on the 'Elementary' Stage 1am - 3am. 

A Downtempo set that is 109bpm - 115bpm blending through a range of Organic, Deep, Tribal and Psychedelic sounds.

JEFFERS @ Elements Festival 2022

A special mix paying homage to Sisyphos and my recent European adventures.

Earlier this year (2022) I had the privilege to play at one of the most renowned clubs in Berlin - 'Sisyphos'. Alongside a collective of Aussie artists from Stone Seed, Sixth Sense and Church of Techno, we held down the Tunnel Floor for an all-day Aussie takeover. 

I visited the club two weekends in a row, once as an artist, and once as a punter. My experiences inside this space are unforgettable and completely changed my perception of what I thought a club could offer.

Unfortunately, on the day I played the Tunnel Floor, I did not record my set. Nor is this a re-recording of that set, however, I thought it would be cool to create a mix inspired by my recent experiences in Europe and Sisyphos alike. This mix showcases some Psytech and approachable driving techno between 128 - 132bpm.

I want to express genuine gratitude and appreciation for all of the new friends and connections I made during my travels. I am eternally thankful to have had the opportunity to cross paths with you all. 

I will see you again in 2023, until then, big love and respect from down under. Peace

I played on the Monday afternoon 4:00pm - 5:30pm. Its a journey through Downtempo sounds from Organic House, Tribal and Dark Disco.

JEFFERS takes listeners on a unique ride with seductive yet eerie, driving and grooving sounds. He delves into multiple genres, crafting versatile sets from Dark Disco, Tribal/Organic House, Melodic, Minimal and Psychedelic Techno. His sets are unpredictable keeping the dancefloor on their toes!

His now been playing major festivals around Australia including Elements, Esoteric, New Dawn and Wild Horses Festival. Showing his versatility as a Dj closing out the Elemental stage at Elements festival with organic/psychedelic mid tempo set while also playing a peak time psychedelic techno set warming up for Electrypnose at Wild Horses Festival, showing his bpm range for has no boundaries. 

With a bunch of his own productions in the works, and some more milestone gigs on the horizon, including some interstate and international gigs. Excited to see what’s next for JEFFERS
