Matter of Time

I wrote this song in June 2020 at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests. Helicopters overhead, marches in the streets. It's a topical protest tune set to a timeless circus scene. Soaring strings and haunting harmonies mirror the lyrics. And the catchy, looping groove makes it a great summer jam.

Witness

This boppy folk-rock tune came together beautifully. The silky harmonies, yawning pedal steel guitar and thumping bass line give it a summery Beatles vibe that you could play on repeat.

The melody came to me in a dream one winter night during lockdown. I woke up and started writing it by candlelight, then finished the chorus the next day while waiting in a Covid test line. A little romance for a scary time.
