For this remix project, I rolled track 6, "They Mysterious House," on the Manos: The Hands of Fate soundtrack. It consisted of a little background jazz and some dialogue. 

A looped sample of the music created something that sounds like an organ, which plays through most of the piece. I isolated a few other sections for some white noise and various glitchiness, all in iZotope Iris. I also used Iris to isolate and clean up a couple of quick dialog and music samples. A Maschine kick drum and Ableton's Balafon instrument add a little flavor, and there's a little electric bass at the end that I probably should have redone, but oh well.

I programmed a basic eight-bar loop in Live, then put it through its paces, automating (on a slight curve) a gradual tempo shift from 80 to 800 bpm and back.

Figment

My first shot at something orchestral, made in Ableton with the ProjectSAM Orchestral Essentials pack. I started with a pretty standard Philip Glass-y arpeggio and then tried to get as far away from that sound as possible. I'd really like to expand on this piece in the future.

My first Disquiet entry is a weird one! I used iZotope Iris to scoop out as many recognizable instrument noises as possible, then allowed some bits and pieces to peek through the overtones and other general acoustic runoff.
