The Longest Journey Home

Released on August 25, 2023, Sunset On L.A. is a feel-good song with the smooth vibe of a west coast summer. The lyrics and beautiful video tackle the universal age-old story of leaving your comfort zone in search of love and dreams to find your way home.

Sunset On L.A. is my third single release from COA Productions, which I recorded with award-winning songwriter, singer, producer, and recording artist Gino Vannelli. His brother, award-winning songwriter, producer, and videographer Ross Vannelli, produced and directed the beautiful official music video.

The response to my new Song, 'Hug Inside An Envelope', has been incredible. I want to thank everyone who has listened, downloaded and streamed it since it became available on July 27. Today we launch the Official Lyric Video. 

Hug Inside An Envelope, is a song about reconciliation and hope, no matter the relationship or circumstance. The song's title was inspired when the lyricist, Rosalind Winton, heard about a lady who sent handwritten letters to people who needed support. The lady sent hundreds of letters, saying that "it was a hug in an envelope." We feel that 'Hug Inside An Envelope' is a song of hope that everyone can use and relate to. Everyone deserves to have love and happiness. I hope that you will share this song of hope and reconciliation with all your friends and loved ones so that we may reach and help as many hearts as possible.

Hug Inside An Envelope

Rainbow Connection has been very close to my heart since I first heard it many years ago back in May of 1979. Oddly enough, I have only performed it a handful of times throughout my career. I have a strange habit of keeping the songs that touch me the most kind of at bay. Being an entertainer all my life, I have discovered first hand that if you play some songs countless times, they can fade in importance in your heart and become just another song you sing at work. Rainbow Connection is a song that I would never let that happen too, so I have rarely performed it.

In the late spring of 2020, I started doing Facebook Live streaming performances to earn some money and keep in touch with my audience. I had several ongoing requests for Rainbow Connection and quickly discovered that I would not be able to skirt the issue. So I learned it and performed it one time. It was challenging to get through emotionally, but I was glad that I did. As Paul Williams's 80th birthday started approaching, I decided to record my version in tribute to a man who gave the world beautiful songs. I hope that you enjoy my heartfelt rendition of this timeless classic.

His brother, award-winning music and video producer, songwriter, and composer Ross Vannelli, produced and directed the videos. 

Jeff Pike, a seasoned and versatile singer/songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, and entertainer from Atlanta, Georgia, is known for his ability to create music that resonates on an emotional level. Along with Kathy Mullen, founder, and Mullen's Miracles partner, Ross Vannelli, they have recently finished an album and video project of original music for Mullen's Miracles. Each song and video on the album deals with specific issues, emotions, and aspects of suicide awareness, prevention, recovery, and organ donation, inspiring hope and support.
