Fate of the sky - Wishing well beat

Here is a short recording of a song I've been working on. (Shitty quality, I recorded it at work on lunch break on my phone)

Lyrics are as follows:

I was laying in my bed, and just looking at the ceiling,
Thinking about my life, when suddenly I got a feeling.
That I need to work harder, that I'm nowhere near my very best,
I've been taking it easy, now to put my efforts to the test.
I want to do things right, and now I have to make a change.
It's easy to set your limits when laziness isn't so strange.
I want to have the things in life that most people enjoy,
And I will get them my way, not like the others who destroy.
People's lives, when they snake others, and push them down the ladder.
They ruin people's lives, but to them it doesn't matter.
I have a heart that's made of gold, and a past that's full of pain.
How can I have control, yet you still have a hate you can't contain.
It's time to move on, I can't be stuck like this much longer.
I didn't work hard to be weak, I used to work hard to be stronger.
I want to ask for a hand, because I feel I'm sort of trapped,
But I should do it on my own, because I'm able to adapt.
I need to find my peace, and find a way to the stars,
I've already worked hard on staying out from behind metal bars.
Now it's time to make a journey, on the long path to succeed,
This isn't just what I want, it's also something that I need.
I'm down to push my limits, I'll do whatever it takes.
I'll push my mind until it withers, and I'll push my body 'til it breaks.
I can't stand here forever, and watch the world pass by.
I want to make people happy, I can't live with myself if I don't try.

Dollars and Dreams (unfinished)

Here is a little clip of what I've been working on so far. 
Yes, I know I'm monotone, but it's the lyrics that are important to me.

Every day I feel I'm falling deeper into a hole,
And even though I'm moving forward, I feel further from my goal.
I feel I'm trapped inside myself. I've locked the door, and ate the key.
Nobody knows how I am, compared to what they see.
I'm being self destructive, and I'm lacking motivation.
I've put up a wall, between my thoughts and my communication.
Have you seen me stop, to look up at the sky,
I've got my head in the clouds, repeating questions, always asking why.
Why do we need to fill ourselves with hate and jealousy.
Let's all get along, we should be friends, we're not the enemy.
Why can't you get enough, you're always wanting more and more.
Why can't you better yourself, and learn to be more sure.
