Radio Jingles

Before there was Radio Disney, there was Radio Aahs.   Trying to reach an older audience, they would make the big mistake and become Aahs World Radio.  In 1998, they would eventually shut down after being shut out of the market by the big mouse (which they won a court case over).  Radio Aahs was an inspiration for one of my past internet stations.  It was fun while it lasted.  This was recorded off of KIDR(AM) Phoenix.  You can hear KCBS in the background.

There were at least two variations on this jingle, this one having the female vocal leading up to the final sing.  The "version A" designation probably didn't apply at Radio AAHS; it's used here to keep things straight as we come across more versions.  Copyright Children's Broadcast Corporation.

Jingle used twice an hour for Radio AAHS stations' local weather.  Automation systems used a "play through" function to run this track from the network, with a local announcer's voice laid-in on top (as was the case with the Legal IDs).  Copyright Children's Broadcasting Corp.

This exact Legal ID was never actually aired.  When Radio AAHS became Aahs World Radio, the production crew in Los Angeles supplied the new top-of-the-hour jingle.  While this jingle ends with a sung "Aahs!", network replaced the singers with a large, low "Aahs" voice.  Vocals: Rita Pardue and Bruce Barker.  Music: Bruce Barker. When Radio AAHS became Aahs World Radio, most of the original Radio AAHS music/jingle elements couldn't be used, so the LA and Minneapolis production crews created new material in-house. AAHS World Radio - 30 Sec Bed With Sing Out

I believe KPLS in Los Angeles was the only station doing live traffic reports during drive-time.  Using the completely random "Satellite Traffic" name, traffic info was gathered from other broadcasters in the city and re-voiced for new reports twice an hour.
