The Constituency (chaos & horror) is an example of two stereo recordings of different duet performances overlapping as one. This conjoined instrumental recording creates a sensation of a quartet of instrumentalists performing together (two violins and two electric bass guitars with effects). With all instruments performed in the key of d minor/F Major, the two overlapped recordings create a blend of cohesive and randomized harmonic, melodic, and event-based sonics throughout its duration. As a foundational instrument the electric bass guitar brings forth a soundscape of grooves affected by time-based and tonal effects presenting an experimental sonic background.  As a featured instrument the violin leverages an array of techniques including tremolo, pizzicato, harmonics and ponticello. The work's title is a reference to social and political groups that engage in conflict with one another based on identity or their pursuit of agency in the world.

"1+1=3: Musical Artists Operating In Genuineness Beyond Fixed Outcomes" is a contemporary music exhibition inspired by critical reflections from filmmaker Ken Burns & writer George Saunders on the compelling nature of storytelling. Their wisdom is considered by four musical artists who share personal & autobiographical stories stemming from their musical lives of genuineness that intersect with unfixed life  outcomes. This exhibition invites the general public to engage these stories and give careful consideration to their related musical compositions both independently and as a cohort. This exhibition also offers the general public an opportunity to explore contemporary music listening more actively towards a renewed reverence for its musical artists.

1+1=3: Musical Artists Operating In Genuineness Beyond Fixed Outcomes (Virtual Listening Room)

"Soy Artista" is a language-based sound art piece (3-channel audio with effects) performed at the Doctor of Musical Arts Performer-Composer Showcase Concert at California Institute of the Arts on October 22, 2024.

The work is documentation of my personal study of the Spanish language expressed through writing and audio-recorded speech about my artistic identity. The original purpose of the project was to connect my efforts to becoming fluent in the Spanish language with critical information about my burgeoning artistic identity. This effort is represented in three voice memos from a 2019 summer journal entry on the theme of what I like the most about my work. Each version of the text & audio highlights strengths and weaknesses within my Spanish writing & speech that are useful for my ongoing personal assessment of my growth in the language.
