The 5th release on BLKMARKET MUSIC comes from Scumdolly entitled ‘Making Ends Meet’ in the format of two separate vinyl. 

Changing Room One and Changing Room Two are tracks that were made around seventeen years ago and never saw an official release. Scumdolly is an alias of Craig Richards, an artist we admire 
and are really hyped to work with.  

The tracks feature new remixes by Subb-an & Adam Shelton, Taimur & Alexander Gentil, and Rhadoo. 

On Vinyl One [BLKMUSIC 004.1] The A side features Making Ends Meet (Changing Room One), which is an original breakbeat version by Craig Richards that comes with with a twisted remix by Birmingham’s Subb-an & Adam Shelton on the B side. 

On Vinyl Two [BLKMUSIC 004.2] The A side features Making Ends Meet (Changing Room Two), which is a 2nd original version by Craig Richards that is more four on the floor on the A1. On the A2 Taimur & Alexander Gentil deliver a driving New York style remix. On the B side Romania’s Rhadoo delivers his version with a more minimalistic approach to the track.

Vinyl One B Scumdolly Making Ends Meet (Subb-an & Adam Shelton Rmx)

BLKMARKET MUSIC taps Craig Richards as his Scumdolly alias to helm its fifth release with ‘Making Ends Meet’, tracks originally produced 17 years ago, spanning two vinyl and featuring remixes by Rhadoo, Taimur & Alexander Gentil and Subb-an & Adam Shelton. 

Here Mixmag unveils the Subb-an & Adam Shelton remix off the first vinyl release, which features an extended version of the original with a stripped-back motif complete with a bubbling bass line, tripped out textures and a pacey house rhythm. 

Both vinyl-only records, 'Making Ends Meet (Changing Room One)' and 'Making Ends Meet (Changing Room Two)', are set for release at the end of March on two separate vinyl released at the same time.

The 6th release on BLKMARKET MUSIC is a new collaboration between electro producer Gosub and label head Taimur. 
On the A side, Gosub & Taimur go techno with two versions of their track ‘THE CONTROLLER.’ The A1 is a deeper 135bpm version that takes you into outer orbit. The A2 ‘THE CONTROLLER (DARK PATH MIX)’  focuses on a faster 145bpm darker and more tripped out version of A1.
The B side focuses on the after-hours side of things. On B1 they kick things off with ’SAFE,’ an electro track that turns into a druggy four on the floor tune, with haunting vocals that chant ‘You think you’re safe.’ On B2 their track ‘PHI’ is more on the techier side of things.

With the world in Covid-19 lockdown and the events industry stopped in its tracks, artists and online media like ourselves have been left financially vulnerable and, well...pretty bored. In an effort to alleviate both, Stamp The Wax launches Isolation Therapy, an emergency compilation built from scratch at lightning speed. 

We reached out to a bunch of friends who may need a hand, and gave them three days to make a track from scratch in isolation. 27 artists rose to the challenge and within a week from our first reach outs we were ready to go with masters (s/o Adam Scrimshire) and artwork (s/o Jess Ebsworth)⁣⁣. Final s/o to Aly Gilani for helping pull it all together. 

To provide artists with financial support as quickly as possible, royalty splits have been increased and accounting periods have been reduced to fortnightly during Coronavirus restrictions. Isolation Therapy will also provides much-needed funds for STW, having been hit heavily by the collapse of the events industry and postponement of all our media partnerships.
