Erosion driven and volume glitched guitars over breakbeats.  Hints of industrial and glitch influences.

Strain

Fed an Ableton Simpler through Amplitube 2 bass FX.  Most of the other sounds were recorded in my room (i.e. window closing, coins moving around, desk drawers, who knows what else).  This was more or less the first track I worked on in 2010 while still at school.

Contraband

In 2001 I began making beats and hashing up samples in FruityLoops.Over the next few years I built up a collection of tracks ranging from trance to hip-hop. Most were mediocre, but a few I still draw influences from today.

In 2003, I started playing guitar and took lessons for about two years. In 2004, I took a MIDI composition class in high school, and was exposed to more powerful DAWs like Logic. I continued into the advanced MIDI class and even sat in on the class after I had taken it.

Around 2006 I was introduced to the world or circuit bending, and have "bent" a handful of toy keyboards. Later that year I began attending the University of Hartford majoring in Audio Engineering Technology. There I learned the arts of recording, mixing, mastering, as well as taking courses in Csound and acoustics. While attending college I occasionally produced songs in the relatively new Ableton Live. I was instantly drawn to the intuitive features of Live and have been using it almost exclusively since 2006.

Ever since I had began school I never had the proper amount of time to devote to music production, so once I graduated in May 2010 I quickly got back into record mode. Most of the tracks I produce do not fit well into genres or labels, as I tend to blend various elements of different styles into a single piece of music. Enjoy & let me know what you think!
