She combs her hair in the mirror

WIP 1

 This song was inspired by Rod Argent's Moog solo in the song Clown on his 1975 album Circus, his most progressive and balanced album, in my opinion. I wanted to try something with a similar progression to that song and wondered what it would be like to have his solo become the melody of the song, just as an exercise. I did take it elsewhere, but enjoyed the process of taking something and making a completely different vibe out of it.

Don't know what I was thinking. Wanted to see what would happen if I ran the entire song through a flange. Duh! I'm gonna have to re-record this, but when? Wish I could just play, sing and write full time!   :)

Way back when there was no money, I used to record Christmas songs for family and friends as gifts. In return, they would make homemade gifts as well, using whatever talents they possessed. How I wish we could go back to that! Anyway, thought I would share some. They are old tape recordings recorded at home, so some are hissy! But all the voices and instruments are me (no click tracks for this boy), and all from the heart.
