It’s most definitely a Brooklyn thing as the production duo Jehs Beats and Mr. Brown join forces with the inimitable Jean Grae to deliver a stirring and hypnotizing new single, “Taking It All Back.”
 
What makes the track so instantly captivating is the tightness of the collaboration. The atmospheric, bass-rich instrumental perfectly complements the shape-shifting vocals from Grae. Her ability to weave in and out of the varying musical elements is jaw-dropping from a listener perspective, as she uses her voice both like an instrument and as a means of making a point.
