This piece was composed using statistics from deaths related to COVID-19 in the USA. Each week, the amount of deaths were translated into pitch and used sequentially in composing a piece for solo viola. The resulting composition was translated into color and drawn onto surgical masks. Viewers are able to simultaneously hear and see the COVID pandemic.
