Gordo Trax returns with A Tota Virolla Vol 4, a new Various Artists compilation with more attitude than a shot of bleach and loaded with talent and originality. A diverse group of artists whose influences span different genres and subgenres weave together the most varied compilation to date, with the common denominator of a complete focus on the dance floor and a commitment to wrecking your ears, knees, and chest.

Rough basslines, abrasive synthesizers, distorted percussion, broken rhythms, sonic apocalypses, and unprecedented production mastery exude style in every track. This group of artists, including Augusto Taito, SCHRZØ, Atisbo, Finalversion3, NiZ, Hektor Legion and Lucia Gea is entirely aligned with Club Gordo, infusing the nights at the Valencia club with strength and ATotaVirollismo. Lucia Gea - Have Fun

After years of making appearances at various venues and festivals across Europe, London-based, Polish-born DJ, dogheadsurigeri finally drops her debut single. ‘Fluid Matter’ is built around a trippy, penetrating vocal hook which stutters in and out of frame as the track develops. An urgent, 4/4 beat, interspersed by rhythmic breakdowns, maintains momentum as frenzied claps and hats flutter frantically above. Finally, the bubbling bassline which sits below hints at dogheadsurigeri’s trance leanings. 

‘Fluid Matter’ is a trance-infused, techno banger, aimed directly at the dancefloor, from one of London’s rising talents. 

Taking on remix duties, Berlin-based, Polish producer Agata drives Fluid Matter firmly into psytrance territory, stripping the original to its essentials and pushing the tempo. The trippy vocal becomes almost a percussive element floating on top of the driving bassline. A classic psytrance acid lead pulses alongside tying the whole track together.

Wallis' label Jell is back with a second release to follow up the fine first outing and this one comes from Argentinean Manu Calmet. He has a background as a drummer and draws on that while layering up his own fresh sounds, here alongside Sassyggirl and DJ Sustancia under their project name Stripclab.'Te Toko Me Toka' has intense vocal loops and distorted bass over hard techno kicks that never let up. 'Enero' has a little more funk to the beats as it hurries along with a real sense of urgency and 'Pium Pium' is all about flashy synths that dart about the mix like fireworks. 'From Bed To Living' closes out with cosmic hard techno and hints of Latin rhythm.

Heavily influenced by his drummer background and appreciation for layered and complex sounds, this four tracker cements the art direction of the label as committed to offering something different into the techno realm.

‘Pyjama Party’, the latest EP by the Argentinean music producer/drummer/DJ Manu Calmet consists of 4 tracks, including a collaboration with the renowned artists Sassyggirl and DJ Sustancia under their project name Stripclab. In this EP, Manu opens up new horizons by merging vocals, elaborate drum patterns and emotive melodies into techno arrangements.
