'This year's Summer Collection (curated by label owner Nick Warren) is 20 tracks of Electronic gold. Every track chosen reflects the diversity of the label and showcases some wonderful artists' work.

We kick off with Leandro Caceres' "A Strange Case", a melancholy journey of part sadness and part joy. Next is Urmet K with "Sri Sukta", organic Sri Lankan vibes with a beautiful vocal from Shawni. Nosssia with "Amoureux" brings a weighty groove and melody to die for. We drop the tempo next with Marcan Liav and "Aninat In Space", a beautiful vocal track.

Stillhead is no stranger to The Soundgarden and with "Amusia" we head straight to the beach for a relaxed and groovy journey.

Bautista Toniolo brings us "Grumari", a lovely light progressive track with a refrain not a million miles away from 70s prog rock.

Pedro Capelossi is up next with "Mystical Atlas" which as its name suggests, takes you on a journey around the globe. This went down a treat for Nick in Argentina this year.

Amol Reon serves up a groovy delight with "The Dawn" Joyous melodies envelope you and send the dancefloor into overdrive.

French artist Sasson delivers "Crossing Path" that locks you in and doesn't let you go, a great track by this young artist.

And lastly we have Maezbi's "Patri" is all things gorgeous, like a walk in the rainforest. It is one of Nick's favourite tracks of the past year.

Gorje Hewek follows up last year’s impressive ‘Life EP’, with a new 5-track package brimming with collaborative spirit. The work also marks the Watergate label debut of the legendary Hernan Cattaneo.
 
The artist is a mainstay of the All Day I Dream collective and a master of intricately woven electronic compositions, which also transfix the dancefloor. For his return contribution to Watergate Records he brings a string of cohorts in toe – Dulus, Polo & Molac from his excellent Shanti Records imprint, alongside ADID affiliate Roy Rosenfeld and Argentinean great Cattaeno.
 
The opener ‘Altitude’ is a dreamy bass-driven heater that unfolds beautifully over an eight-minute period and is highlighted by a key driven melody that’s both playful and emotive. ‘Astro World’ is an eclectic slice of organic house that captivates with a string-laden break before dropping down into a rhythmic second half. The EP’s title track is a silky sunset cut resplendent with twinkling pads that has enough groove to seduce a dusty dancefloor. ‘Vida’ begins life as a slinky percussive jam, before the dam breaks and a colourful river of melody drives the track home. An artist with a rich back catalogue to his name over a 15-year period, Luke Mandala is a welcome Proton Music debutant with his twin-track, "The Wind People". Combining live wind instruments and percussion in his production portfolio, Luke Mandala has been a powerhouse creative force with music on Desert Hearts Records, Digital Structures and Dave Seaman's Selador. Also a global touring DJ, opener "Eagle Song" is a pulsating progressive treasure that glitters with a beautiful melodic flow. Hitting its dancefloor straps with a strong bassline groove, the juxtaposition of ethereal synth phrasing and fizzing hi-hats creates a dynamic piece that reaches a scintillating zenith in the third movement. A slightly darker offering, driven by strong kick and intricate rolling groove, "Gorgeous Darkness" retains the soft melodic motifs of its counterpart, particularly at the beatless breakdown. Either side, a dynamic bassline sequence creates a vibrant energy that comes to the fore with a growling, filtered variation in the second half that sits perfectly with the arpeggiated melody woven into the delicate sonic mosaic.

Dance music royalty and a true pioneer of the underground house scene, Nick Muir has become a firm favourite with the Proton faithful since first remixing Rick Pier O'Neil in late 2019. Since then, the Bedrock co-founder has lit up the label with further reworkings of Eric Lune and Sebastian Sellares. Moreover, his "All One Word" EP in mind-2023 showcased an original track of 24-carat gold that saw standout remixes from GMJ & Matter and Trilucid. Returning for a fourth remix, the Nick Muir interpretation of "Eagle Song" is a potent demonstration of the iconic star's long association with dance music. A classic old-school house vibe is married with cutting-edge production techniques as familiar refrains shimmer across the piece, not least in the arpeggiated motif integral to the original. Intelligently integrating a timeless house piano phrase at the mid-point, it develops with typical brio into the second half with a cascading brilliance and powerful vibrancy.

The final remix sees newcomer, dernis, the kid make his Proton Music debut. An artist with the production credentials to rival any modern producer, the US star has been a mainstay in Claude VonStroke's DIRTYBIRD studio as well being part of the San Diego-based event group responsible for an annual desert party of epic proportions. Also releasing through his own AZB Studios imprint, the dernis, the kid reworking is built around a huge sub-bass groove and ticking percussive top-line. Cleverly reimagining the melodic elements from "Gorgeous Darkness", immaculate production skills are in full evidence as wonderful layers of original sound are introduced. Culminating in a beautifully crafted and free-flowing piano refrain, it gently permeates the rasping, gritty bassline groove to create a dance-friendly framework. The result is an outstanding debut from a US producer at the top of his game.

Blowing up a storm, Luke Mandala has built a strong community with "The Wind People" that includes contributions from Nick Muir and dernis, the kid.

Inspired By Trees begins 2019 by welcoming Jelly For The Babies to the label for his debut single entitled ‘Faded Memories’. The Serbian artist had a strong 2018, highlighted by releases on Balkan Connection, Low Pressings, Submarine Vibes and his own One Of A Kind and The Purr Music imprints. Jelly For The Babies’ diverse style has made him a favourite amongst a broad range of top tier tastemakers including Hernan Cattaneo, Mark Knight and Eelke Kleijn. Now beginning the new year with one of this most anticipated singles to date, Jelly For The Babies debuts on Inspired By Trees alongside remixes from DAVI and Paege.

Known for sitting in a creative space between deep and progressive house, Jelly For The Babies crafts another cross pollinated gem in ‘Faded Memories’. Entrancing soundscapes combined with a sub heavy groove and strong rhythmic elements set the piece in motion. Fading to prominence, tasteful chord stabs steal the air, allowing you to get lost in a myriad of cosmic vibrations. Warm shades and subtle tones resonate at the core of the piece, building slowly with charismatic charm, before icy pads highlight a seductive finale.

The first interpretation of ‘Faded Memories’ is provided by DAVI who also makes his label debut here. Widely regarded for his groovy organic sound, the Armenia born, Los Angeles based artist has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. Releases on esteemed imprints such as Anjunadeep, Crosstown Rebels, Rebellion and his own DELYSID imprint have all been sensational, leading to both critical and commercial success. Now making a welcome debut on Inspired By Trees, DAVI’s vivid imagination and keen sense of club dynamics opens ‘Faded Memories’ up to a wider range of dance floors. The ebb and flow of its energy is engaging, as a rolling full bodied groove, redemptive rhythms and redolent textures unite in perfect harmony, for a soulful journey into deep, percussive house.

The release concludes with Inspired By Trees boss Paege returning to the label and providing the final interpretation of ‘Faded Memories’. Hailing from Baden, the Swiss artist has been passionate about electronic music for over two decades. One off gigs at clubs and festivals shaped his DJ career early on, before settling into a residency at Kiste Club in 2012. Now focusing more of his creative energy on Inspired By Trees, Paege looks to nurture the label and build a cohesive roster of artists bound by a love for music. Having made his production debut in July of last year with the ’70/50 Chance’ single, Paege now returns to his home imprint with a stunning rendition of ‘Faded Memories’ to round out the release in style. Following the ethos of the original we’re welcomed with a warm rolling groove and grainy effects. A wispy atmospheric haze carries the piece as foreboding swells and hopeful pads sit in tasteful sonic divergence. Percussive clusters and boundless drive continue to build momentum, before ghostly pads descend over the framework for a haunting finale. A superb interpretation from Paege which caps off what is an auspicious beginning to 2019 for Inspired By Trees, who are most certainly a label to be following as the year takes shape.

Back in 2004, the fusion of the sounds of soft and mystical house rhythms as well as harmonic parts inspired by trance music gave rise to the first ideas of a project that would only start to appear more actively on the edm scene a little later, a project called Jelly For The Babies.
What adorns the producer behind the above-mentioned project is the variety in his creations, playing with synths and rhythms, experimentation that eventually led to his sound being easily recognizable.
Just like his spirit, his music is not bound by genre, but is "free", and you can see the releases signed both for progressive and techno, as well as for publishing houses that cultivate the sound of deep, minimal and organic house music. .
Therefore, the very thing that makes him original leads to his music, throughout his career, being supported, both through sets and through the charts, by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Way Out West, Guy J and many others.
Then come the first international guest appearances, tours, festivals and club parties in Lithuania, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Holland, Italy as well as countries in the region.
Graduated Audio & Video engineer as well as the owner of three publishing houses, The Purr, One Of A Kind and RYNTH, where he mentioned discovering new talents, giving young producers a chance, promoting them in the best possible way and mutual cooperation with more experienced colleagues as the key thing .

If I had to define my existence, it would not be written in a book, but played through notes in life over the years.
