This track was initially started as the intro to what turned into the Late Pass LP released Oct 2013. I took a arms full of 90's hip hop albums, and cut up all the interlude voices and lines i could. Odd Nosdam and i decided that it didn't really fit the vibe of the album, so i shelved it for that album. Lateef the Truth Speaker hit me up for some beats for the new LATYRX:THE SECOND ALBUM. Which turned "my name jeff" into "Gun Control".

In 2004 I hit up Wise to do a track for my "Soft Money" LP on Anticon. He did two ...one was "WMD" wich made the album, and was remixed (Joe Quix) and released on 12' inch vinyl. The other song "Rock The Vote" never was  released. Yesterday, the day of the last Presidential debates between the two new guys ready to be Commander and Chief in 2013. I found the old demo file and revamped the beat in the spirit of "Rocking Your Motherfucking Vote!!!!" ALL CONTENT IS ABSOLUTELY RELEVANT TO EVERY ELECTION WE WILL BE INVOLVED IN, IN THE PRESENT, TO THE FUTURE, IN THIS COUNTRY, INDIVISIBLE, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL OF US....

Wise Intellegent & Jel "rock the vote 2004-2012"

In 2006, Before starting Our 'Crowns Down" Themselves lp that dropped in 2010. Dose and i were asked to do an exclusive track for a fundraiser cd called, African Jag Vol 1. This project was put together by Dj Krush and friends out of Japan.
This song is kind of the inspiration for the Crowns Down "Fuck a King" concept we kept for our 3rd Themselves release on Anticon. This was the first song on Prince Po's Lex Album "The Slickness". Danger Mouse was the main Producer for the album. I finished a more blown out version than what made the album. But for some reason the original demo version I  sent was the one they kept for the final release. here is my Final version of "Hello!"
