The pulse throughout is constant without rendering it strenuous, thanks to the attention to detail that turns linearity into energy and a delicate sensibility attuned to the ebb and flow of what makes an enthralling narrative something absolutely mesmerising.

Resident Advisor and Absolut join forces to bring you round three of Alternate Cuts, an event series celebrating the UK crews that keep their local nightlife scenes thriving. For little or no return, these promoters work tirelessly to bring their communities together. To celebrate this, we’ve collaborated with three crews to ask some of their favourite artists to play alternative sets. They’ll be exploring corners of their record collections that rarely see the light of day, in some of the best intimate venues in the UK.

On Thursday 4th April, we joined forces with Liverpool’s SisBis to host Jayda G at 24 Kitchen Street. She dug deep in a genre that’s been a huge influence on her musically - Rhythm & Blues. From its roots in blues through rock, psych, soul and hip hop, Jayda explored every part of the sound, from its inception right up to the present day.
