My dear friend Marni Portman passed away last week at the age of 36 having lived with cancer for years. We knew this was coming and we spent precious time together. She was an inspiration and a truly beautiful person with a beautiful nature. I always turn to music in my most desperate times. Overwhelmed by this loss, I finished this song this morning and recorded it. The performance was affected because I cried all morning while I wrote it and recorded it.
