First making his mark on the bass music scene last year with a phenomenal run of introductory singles
including the God’s Gift-sampling bass house belter “Leng” on 3000 Bass, Perth producer Old Sport now
steps into the limelight with his first official project, the two-track EP Feel Like, out this January via newly
minted label ProtoHouse.
The EP swiftly follows on from a flurry of recent drops from the Australian youngster, which have included
the rugged two-step triumph “Damage Control”, the pounding club weapon “Function” and the
breaks-leaning, rap-infused “Flashback”. Collectively amassing more than 10,000 plays, they’ve undeniably
put him on the map, as has his first outing on ProtoHouse, the tweaking house cut “Movin”, which featured
on the label’s inaugural compilation Horizons last year. With bookings in support of titans of the scene
including LO99, Holy Goof and Graves to boot, the west coast DJ is certainly one to watch.
First up on the Feel Like EP is its title track, a hypnotic affair which brings together acid-esque basslines,
filtered vocal hooks and rave-ready piano riffs to culminate in a slice of heads-down dancefloor bliss. As
distorted bass house motifs swoop into play and gripping atmospherics come to the fore, we’re reminded
of Old Sport’s knack for variation, with the track constantly keeping listeners on their toes. The project’s
figurative B-side, “Will You”, is a lighter undertaking than its predecessor, with euphoric chords and soulful
croonings segueing seamlessly into vibrant future house drops to result in a veritable club anthem
characteristic of this rising star.
The Feel Like EP will initially be available as a Beatport and Spotify exclusive from 10 January, reaching a full
range of digital service providers the following fortnight on 24 January 2022

Philadelphia based Hip-Hop Crooner, FMEO Dixon born Nathaniel Dixon was born February 11th, 1994, In Norristown PA. Dixon was raised in the Upper Darby area of Philadelphia and it’s soulful sounds encompassed his upbringing introducing him to the creative process of making music at the early age of 9. By 12 years old, Dixon would record his first song teaching himself how to produce tracks and engineer in the process. 


Entering high school his ambition grew as he led a collective of rappers named “Money Clocking”. They’d record their mixtapes and sell them at King of Prussia Mall, while performing at high school and college parties. This experience became a catalyst for Dixon’s individual growth as the group disbanded after high school. 

Continuing to further his passions, he began to look into a inner space, spiritually awakening and aligning with his true purpose. Dixon began to experience a calm and fever to express his message. Believing as self-awareness healed him he could create a therapeutic sound that could aid the masses in their personal way. Thus F.M.E.O was born. A exclusive brand representing those that hold themselves accountable to fulfill their purpose.
