'The Young Girl & The Sea' aloud to the children. The book is designed to inspire children to care for the environment and through an emotional touch change their daily behavior with regards to environmental questions. 

The creation of a bond between the children and the character environments generates fruitful message absorption, enjoyment and namely, a motivation to engage in the topic in question. 

The book is part of a larger scale project, The Polymeric Islands, a monument to consumerism and our ecological myopia. Moving away from traditional methods of ecological messaging, the project aims to inspire people to change personal behavior by making a global emergency - the plastic-polluted oceans - real, something we can all relate to and feel compelled to act upon.
