Pretty soon we'll have robots in our society, you're going to have a lot of automated processes that used to be done by people - this is happening. Society and technology is changing so fast, and the impact of the change on society and technology is global, not local.
Above all, I would hope that not just one leader of a wise race, at great expense, would set loose an army of self-replicating brain squeezing skull munching robots. Figuratively speaking of course...

De nos jours, chacun d'entre nous accomplit des choses bien plus spectaculaires et plus complexes que par le passé. Savoir  imaginer, motiver, coordonner, sont pour beaucoup d'entre nous des objectifs.
Mais au présent, il faut reconnaître, que chacun « travaille » pour soi, et que hélas, les États se substituent aux volontés collectives et, l’individualisme est devenu roi. Chacun paie sa redevance dans tous les domaines et considère ainsi, avoir sa part de bonheur, sa part de liberté ....
Nous déléguons de ce fait, toutes les taches de la vie collective, et même trop souvent de la vie domestique, perdant ainsi la capacité d'avoir un semblant d'autonomie, et devenant dépendant de l'argent …. nous empilons les chèques, avec l'espoir d'une certaine tranquillité de vivre. Est-ce vraiment une bonne chose ? 
Je vous laisse méditer sur ces quelques lignes ....

Maintenant pour parler, de ce qui nous intéresse musicalement ici, vous pouvez écouter de cette nouvelle collaboration, avec notre ami David, qui donne avec sa guitare, tout son sens à cette logique harmonique conçue en égard à cette voix si belle et particulière de Clara Sorace.

These days, each and every one of us achieves far more spectacular and complex things than in the past. Knowing how to imagine, motivate and coordinate is a goal for many of us.
But in the present, we have to recognize that everyone is "working" for himself, and that, alas, states are replacing collective wills, and individualism has become king. Everyone pays his or her dues in all areas, and thus considers that they have their share of happiness, their semblance of freedom ....
As a result, we delegate all the tasks of collective life, and all too often even domestic life, thus losing the ability to have any semblance of autonomy, and becoming dependent on money .... we pile up cheques, in the hope of a certain peace of living. Is this really a good thing? 
I'll leave you to meditate after reading these few lines ....

Now to talk about what interests us musically here, you can listen to this new collaboration, with our friend David, who gives with his guitar, all its meaning to this harmonic logic conceived in consideration of Clara Sorace's so beautiful and particular voice.

Dear friends, how about a somewhat self-deprecating song?

Recovering

I have found some ways to recover - when I’m anxious or feeling low
I send a mail to my Grandkids just to give them my love
and if it is not too late an answer comes back
and I turn around and continue my restorative sleep

Sometimes when I’m feeling low - I ask for support from my wife
it might happen in the middle of the night and she never will protest
she will just take my little hand and squeezes it so light
and I turn around and continue my restorative sleep

If I wake up in the middle of the night - with a nightmare in my poor little brain
I will pick up my mobile and listen to the songs
that all my music friends have published on the net 
and I turn around and continue my restorative sleep

A sort of storytelling song I started writing because Alex asked me which of my songs we could try playing with The Grand Old Echo and I figured I might as well try to write a new one that fits the mountain theme we already have a few of in our repertoire. It might be inspired by a recent trip to the Canary Islands and the volcanic landscape there but is otherwise entirely fictional. The bridge is a bit of a mouthful and I hope the other bandmates will do that bit eventually so I don't have to embarrass myself :)

Lyrics:
Verse 1
They called her Mad Mary, all alone with her canary
In her hut on a hill where the air’s always still
While the winds round the mountain are howling and shouting
About sins and revenge and the way things will end

Verse 2
There once was a time when the villagers were kind and
Took care of their island but after a while they
just took it for granted, wasted half of what they hunted, they
Polluted their waters and were cruel to their daughters and
 
Verse 3
They all laughed at old Mary and her harrowing fairy-
tales of fires below smouldering, waiting to show
Them the beast they created with their greed and their hatred
Getting ready to erase those who won’t mend their ways

She repeated her warnings, but the village just yawned
Until then came the day when they chased her away
So she took her canary and all she could carry,
Crying  ‘the mountain’s awake, don’t you see what’s at stake’

She felt the Earth rumble, as she ran, tripped and tumbled
Down the side of the mountain, only turning around when
She arrived at the seashore, found her float, finally she saw
Clouds crashing, and the mountain’s passionate flashes, covering it all a black blanket of ash and
Columns of smoke that swallow all colour as they roll down the slopes on their mission to smother
Any hope of escape of those who noticed too late
That all life on the island had gone awfully silent
While a new kind of fiery violence arrived to devour the night while burning bright
So she turned her face away, cut the rope and set sail
Towards the golden horizon with a new sun on the rise while
The inferno’s hot breath kept bringing destruction and death
To everyone but Mad Mary and her loyal canary, singing…
