Stephen Obana, aka ØBANA, is a distinguished DJ and EDM Music Producer raising entertainment standards since 2006. ØBANA spent nine years playing in various Pop Punk/Metal Bands - actively performing throughout Southern California and spending a year coast-to-coast-touring. With this as his base and alongside strong influences from iconic names like Skrillex, Dilon Francis, Kygo, and Martin Garrix, ØBANA began his solo journey. ØBANA’s vision as an artist has always stayed the same: to challenge the status quo with non-cookie-cutter sounds and deliver his audience experiences worth remembering.

Light in the Static is the closing chapter of the trilogy that began with A Tear-Stained Journal and Shadows on My Skin. Where the first two tracks lingered in confession and darkness, this one steps forward into clarity, resilience, and hope — transforming scars and shadows into strength.
Original Version
A cinematic dark-pop journey blending whispered verses with swelling, atmospheric choruses. It captures the intimate honesty of writing in a journal, while the production builds into a powerful statement of survival and self-awareness. Both vulnerable and uplifting, it’s the sound of learning to rise from the wreckage.
Raw Version
Stripped back and exposed, this version leans into the fragility of the lyrics. Sparse instrumentation keeps the focus on the vocal delivery, as if the pages of the song were being read aloud in the quiet. Every breath and every crack in the voice is left untouched, creating an unfiltered connection to the heart of the song.
At its core, Light in the Static is a song about turning pain into purpose, recognising that every scar points the way forward, and choosing to breathe, feel, and rise again.
