This is my feminist power ballad to the world.  There could be a myriad of interpretations to these lyrics but fpr me it is channeled as the story of the feminine.

I have to make fun of myself a little bit because somehow I realize that female independence is not the ultimate reality.  Female independence from the dependence relationships of my grandparent's time as well as female independence from abusive relationships only takes my life so far.  A book I am reading right now is showing me how perhaps independence is just one level up in evolution.  The next level is not about women depending on men or women depending upon themselves.  The next level is being an integrated whole and realizing that as a woman I AM love.  I don't need love from a man or from myself as much as I need to understand that I am the force of radiant love.  The force of feminine love and radiance meets the focused directionality of a man's uncompromising love and there we have intimate communion.
