Estranged Cousins is a self-driven music project built on a lifelong love of guitars, songwriting, and sound experimentation. Drawing from rock and metal roots, Estranged Cousins writes original songs on acoustic and electric guitar, sometimes supported by drums and sometimes left stripped down and raw. These foundations are crafted first as genuine compositions—complete with personal melodies, chord structures, and emotional intent—before being transformed into something completely different.

After the initial recording process, each song enters a second creative life. Using AI tools and digital production software like Suno, Estranged Cousins reshapes these tracks into EDM reinterpretations that retain the core chord progressions and vocal melodies of the originals while evolving into a new genre and identity. The result is not just a remix, but a refracted version of the song—recognizable yet reborn. This dual-release approach, showcased clearly in the album Metamorphosis, pairs each original composition with its electronic counterpart, making the listener experience the material in two contrasting forms.

For Estranged Cousins, this process isn’t about commercial ambition or perfection. It is about curiosity, technology, and the joy of creation. Writing began in early adolescence with a guitar and a love for heavy music, and that passion never faded—only expanded.
