A Memorable Life

A perilous journey into your mind. The inner demons of the past are hunting you through the seemingly endless maze of black thoughts. Confusion, doubts and fears become manifest in a monstrous entity. A glimmer of hope arises. The labyrinth ends in an a bright and open landscape. You are enlightend. You are free.

Enlightened

Who doesn't like fanfares? Certainly not me. I love them. So I tried to create my own. A heroic statement with bold brass and some spice from outside the traditional symphonic orchestra.

Summon The Braves

A both ambient and romantic orchestral piece. It bears in remembrances of friends who disappeared. It tells stories of bold adventures, sweet love and friendship.

Fading Traces

Silent Grief tells a story about the dark side of life. Sorrow and pain, longing and lost. But there is a glimmer of hope, a seed of confidence. Remember the bright side and take the U-turn!

Silent Grief

This is the story of a bee colony flying over a beautiful meadow full of blooming flowers until they are attacked by agressive hornets. The chase continues through the grass and forest to the home of the bees, their hive.

The Hive

This piece is one of my childhood dreams. The sound of a hero's life with joy, struggle, loss, sorrow, courage and hope. A movie score condensed to 4 minutes. My dream came true.

A Hero's Tale

"Gentlemen, start your engines!" Welcome to this furios high-energy, nerve-wracking event with intense speed, strategic maneuvering, cheering crowds and dramatic moments. 

It is a modern mixture of various genres from synthwave, pop and funk to a hybrid orchestral cinematic score.

The Race

In the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, shrouded in mystery and legend, lay the ancient civilization of Atlantis. Known for its advanced technology, wisdom, and architectural grandeur, Atlantis was a beacon of prosperity and enlightenment in a world still awakening to its potential. This track describes the Rise of Atlantis and its encounter with the surface world.

Atlantis Is Rising

Hop on to this musical journey around the globe. This is a funky, jazzy Nu Disco track with a cinematic finale. It contains a bunch of different genres and sonic worlds.

Music Goes Around The World

Gone - A calm piano piece that deals with sorrow, lost despair and loneliness. When someone or something leaves unexpectedly you it may tear you apart. Time will heal all wounds but time takes time.

Gone

This is a musical journey of a young protagonist discovering a magical forest and encountering the wonders of nature beyond imagination: Sylvan Secrets.

The story:
There are undiscovered wonders of the woodlands. The trees loom tall and twisted. Whispers float on the breeze. As the perilous journey continuous tiny figures dart in the canopy. Where the sun beams fade slowly the creatures of the darkness are ready to chase its prey. Beware the ambush of the beasts. But you are not alone. Ancient beeings care for the natural balance of the forest, even if the means: encounter and battle.

I used mostly orchestral and some electronic sounds to convey a magical, enchanted vibe. This changes to a driving synth pulses and later to a creepy part followed by an adventurous arrangement with a full blown orchestra. The epic finale ends with a huge choir, rhythmic string staccatos, a load of brass, lots of percussion and even a rhythm guitar.

Sylvan Secrets

A cold labyrinth. A thousand paths, seemingly without purpose. Strange creatures lurk in the shadows. From a distant memory, a spark of hope arises.

A dim light penetrates the high stone walls. A soft voice promises salvation and grants strength. New courage and a strong will lead to the final blow: Breakthrough.

Breakthrough

Story:

The starship Odyssey embarks on a mission to explore Nebula Incognita, a mysterious place rumored to hold secrets of the universe's birth.

As they delve deeper, the stars dim, and their ship's instruments begin behaving erratically. Slowly the nebula forms into a massive, ethereal entity shifting between a pulsating star, a swirling galaxy, and a human visage.

A deep and growling voice reverberates through the ship. Although the words are spoken in an unknown language, every member of the crew seems to recognize the message in their head:

I Am Your God!

Music:

This track starts mainly with synths, long and evolving sounds that express the vastness of space. Aleatoric brass clusters support this vibe. It turns into a rhythmic pulse, accompanied by strings, slowly rising in volume and tension. Brass with short accents is introduced to express the dangers of the journey.

The encounter of the powerful entity is implemented with an unstable harmony that consists of mainly minor and diminished chords and with continuous brass and low string staccatos. The positive final resolution is done via soft woodwinds and strings.

I Am Your God!

Story:

Elarion follows the call of adventure to save his village from a dark manace that may only be overcome with the help of a magical artefact. He leaves his beloved wife Kira and travels through deep forests, dreadful swamps and dark mountains until he reaches a mysterious cave.

Seemingly uninhabited he soon faces the creatures of the underground, some curious, some frightened, some threatening. The artefact is guarded by sentinals who are defending it with their lives. Elarion is able to steal it and is chased constantly throughout the whole kingdom. But he finally reaches the village and defeats the ominous threat.

Music:

In this purely orchestral track I tried my best to establish a memorable theme that I developed throughout the piece. It starts sad and melancholic, then bold for the adventure part. In the cave it is reharmonized in a dark and suspenseful manner.

After an action sequence, further variations follow, orchestrated with choir und brass. Again, an adventurous and heroic part with trumpet and horns is next. After a softer part with strings and woodwinds, the choir comes in and leads into a climactic finale with the theme played by strings in octaves.

Elarion's Odyssey

Story:

Colonel Kidrick's squad disembarked from the dropship. Sent to secure a colony that had gone silent, they were prepared for insurrection or bandits — not what they found. Suddenly the sand erupted. Spindly, insect-like creatures the size of horses, their exoskeletons glinting in the light, attacked. Kidrick calls for reinforcement but nevertheless fought at the frontline with his team in a merciless combat. They fought through the night, holding their ground despite mounting casualties. Though their numbers dwindled, their spirit burned bright as Colonel Kidrick yelled the directive:

Music:

The tracks starts with some synths that melt into soft and slow string harmonies to express the calm trip to the colony. The encounter of the aliens is sonically expressed with synth braaams, low brass and a string ostinato. A bright horn melody and rhythmic short strings should match the heroic vibe. The following part with mainly minor chords show the loss and sorrow of fellow soldiers. The battle continues with even more intensity of the utilized instruments in full dynamics. Aggressive bass pulses support the string shorts, trumpets and horns play a strong melody passing their role to octaved strings. Choir shorts and a drumkit enforce the rhythm until the intro reoccurs at the end.

Chronicles of the Wayfarer (Extended)

Lover of orchestral film scores and epic music.

I had started making music in the 90s with my Amiga 500 but it wasn't capable (me neither) of producing the sound of a whole orchestra.

The diverse musical expressions in filmscores have a bigger emotional impact than any other genre I can think of. My music is heavily inspired by the great composers around 1980-2000, like John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Basil Poledouris and Hans Zimmer.

With synthesizers, a whole new world of sound has entered the arena and merges with the orchestra to a fantastic sonic experience.

I try to tell stories and convey emotions in my pieces to take you onto a journey into unknown territory.
