Returning to Token with his second solo contribution for the label, Ignez invites us back into his sonic world with his new chapter ‘Aventurine’. Providing yet again a record with novel texture and spatial work, Ignez guides us through a 4 track project orchestrated with intent and skill.   

‘Aventurine’ introduces the EP assertively with his unmistakably cinematographic approach. The title-track proves to be of considerable dimension, a precise and impactful percussion-line cuts through distant atmospheres, rendered all the more dramatic with the presence of a cello. Ignez then takes down the narrative tone a notch to make space for the A2 ‘Seraphic’, narrowing his focus and stripping down the record. Giving the track time to sink in an expertly crafted tension, it isn’t until halfway through that the main attraction is revealed. Reverse, spiraling stabs dot along a persistently imposing rhythm to make ‘Seraphic’ very representative of a style that Ignez has claimed over the past few years. Whipping outward with white noise to accentuate the listener’s notion of space, we arrive finally to the second half of ‘Aventurine’. A perfect follow-up to the last cut awaits under the name ‘Verdant’. Dry percussion and string-like stabs, this time sharper and more metallic, make for a record where timing is the driving force. More mute than the previous tracks, ‘Verdant’ makes a perfect dip into the final element of the EP - ‘Cure’. Back into a more harmonic style, Ignez uses vocals and background synth work to create tonality before throwing in the ear-candy. Spacing out elements to conclude the EP in a meditative fashion, Ignez once again strikes a balance between technical knowhow and acute storytelling.

After appearing on the label's recent 'Federation of Rytm II' release alongside some of the industry's most iconic artists, Steve Redhead is back on Mutual Rytm, taking over the label from SHDW & Obscure Shape with a 6 track solo EP delivering driving, furious and old school influenced techno.

The eleventh instalment of Mutual Rytm opens with the rolling grooves and choppy vocals of 'Blokhut', which flows smoothly into the highly effective drums and strings of 'Sea Choy', while 'Bruusk' closes the first side of the vinyl with a hypnotic, well-crafted 90s influenced techno anthem. On the flip side, the title track 'Eastbook Isle' is all about its rolling bassline, retro/electro influences and a mesmerising melody, while on the B2 'Planet Phatt' closes the record perfectly with a classic old school sounding cut, made to be the last track of the set or those early morning moments. Last but not least is the digital bonus track 'Monster Madness' and as the name implies it is the hardest of the bunch, with aggressive late night grooves wrapped in deep, repetitive and evocative chords.

Undoubtedly one of his best works to date, the Belgian producer keeps up the good work with his second appearance on the label in the form of his Eastbook Isle EP, to be released on 7 April 2023.

Kr!z made his Blueprint debut last year with the 'Neutrino EP'.  Now he returns this April with the follow-up Revelation EP'.

Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin, he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene.  After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ with sharp focus and a quick mixing style in home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007.  It has since been a leading outlet for heady, purist sounds. 

 He rapidly established the label as a fixed value with a timeless and powerful sound and took it around the world with label nights on every continent.  Token remains important in defining techno today - always straightforward, sometimes weird, often catchy – all under the helm of Kr!z as avid A&R.

After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this time, and incorporating the connoisseur’s knowledge and experience he has cultivated in his work as a DJ, 2019 saw the release of his long awaited debut EP on Token.  'Mantra' received high acclaim by both media and the scene's key DJs.

This continued in 2020, when he released the track 'Scorpion’s Tail' on Voltage Imprint and 'Malice' and 'Imperative Needs' as part of a split EP with Pfirter on his MindTrip label.  2022 was his most prolific year to date with three full EPs seeing the light of day: 'Neutrino EP' on James Ruskin’s Blueprint Records, 'The Tunnel' on Setaoc Mass' hotshot SK_eleven and ‘Atlantis’ on his own Token Records.

Jens Balser, geboren und aufgewachsen in Friedberg, lebt seit 2012 in Frankfurt am Main und hat sich dort als DJ in der elektronischen Musikszene etabliert. Mit seiner Leidenschaft für Techno und einem einzigartigen Gespür für energetische Klanglandschaften ist er ein fester Bestandteil der Szene, sowohl in Frankfurt als auch darüber hinaus. 

*Musikalische Wurzeln und Inspiration* 
Die Wurzeln von Jens Balsers musikalischer Reise liegen in seiner Jugend in Friedberg, wo er erste Berührungspunkte mit der elektronischen Musik hatte. Der Umzug nach Frankfurt im Jahr 2012 öffnete ihm die Türen zur pulsierenden Technoszene der Stadt. Inspiriert von der reichen Musikgeschichte und legendären Clubs wie dem *Omen* *Tanzhaus West* begann Jens, seinen eigenen Stil zu entwickeln. 
 
*Karriere und Stil* 
Jens ist ein überzeugter Vertreter des Techno. Sein Stil kombiniert treibende Rhythmen mit hypnotischen Melodien und einer dunklen, atmosphärischen Ästhetik. Seine Sets sind geprägt von Spannung und Dynamik, was ihn zu einem gefragten Künstler in Clubs und auf Festivals macht. Seine Auftritte in ikonischen Frankfurter Venues und auf Open-Air-Events sind durchweg ein Erlebnis, bei dem er die Menge in seinen Bann zieht.
 
 *Zusammenarbeit mit AlpakaClan Booking* 
Seit seiner Zusammenarbeit mit *AlpakaClan Booking* im Jahr 2024 hat Jens begonnen, seine Reichweite und seinen Einfluss in der Techno-Welt erheblich zu erweitern. Diese Partnerschaft hilft ihm, größere Bühnen zu erobern und seine Musik einem internationalen Publikum zu präsentieren. 
 
*Produktion und Zukunftspläne*
 Neben seinen Live-Auftritten widmet sich Jens der Produktion eigener Tracks, die seinen charakteristischen Sound widerspiegeln. Sein Debüt-Release ist in Arbeit und verspricht, die Essenz seines Stils auf den Punkt zu bringen. 
 
*Philosophie*
 Für Jens Balser ist Techno nicht nur Musik, sondern eine kulturelle Bewegung, die Freiheit, Emotionen und Gemeinschaft vereint. Biography:
Jens Mueller comes from Essen, the heart of Germany’s Ruhr region and in true German fashion Jens Mueller is the master of all things Techno. Jens has been behind the decks lighting up dance floors since 1994 and has played set’s at some of the Europe’s most prestigious events such as Love Parade and Nature One Festival. 

Jens Mueller has been producing music for as long as he can remember and it certainly shows by some of the incredible tracks he has released on Labels like ‘Dolma’, ‘Autektone Dark’, ‘Reload Black’ Agile’ and many more. Jens draws inspiration from the likes of Chris Liebing, DJ Rush, Andreas Kraemer and Steve Stoll. After working on a variety of web-radio shows and searching for the newest up and coming talent in the Techno scene, Jens went on to develop his label called Sound Kleckse Records. Sound Kleckse debuted back in 2009 with Jens’ famous ‘My Name Is Roland EP’

A keen advocate for indie labels, Jens champions new artists and those who build platforms to enhance music all whilst sharing his wealth of experience and knowledge. The rest of the industry are also taking notice as Jens has been featured in some of the industries leading blogs and online magazine such as One EDM, Hypestorm, ElectroWow and Global Techno Magazine.
