You can't miss MALUGI. The Berlin-based artist is the vibrant force who blends house, glitzy pop and in the shadowy enclaves of nightclubs worldwide, exuding warmth, charisma, and joy across the dancefloor. With tours spanning Europe and Australia, the DJ and producer has shared his elated sounds in spaces like Munich's Blitz and London's The Cause.

At home in Germany, MALUGI is a MELT festival regular and hosts his party Club Heart Broken at Watergate, adding fun and sparkle into Berlin's techno-heavy scene. Unapologetically zany as a producer, MALUGI's tracks like 'Reach Out' and 'Really Happy' landed on the BBC Radio One airwaves and received plays from Gerd Janson and Tiesto.

Following his Boiler Room debut in December last year, 2024 marks MALUGI's launch of Club Heart Broken as a record label, alongside more milestones in the making. The imprint is another facet of MALUGI's multi-coloured world, affirming his passion for producing boundary-pushing dance music and supporting artists who want to join the loud and luminous world of MALUGI.

When we asked Pegassi to make a mix for us, he said yes immediately. With more than 3 months to the deadline, he chilled. A little too much, and he missed the date.

Determined to get it done, Pegassi packed his DJ setup, took it on a flight to Berlin, and recorded the mixtape in his hotel room in one take before playing at a gig. The result is a raw, authentic blend of his favourite tracks at the moment, including some personal favourites he’s been blasting in the car. We love it and Pegassi loves it too and we both got a fun story to share

The mix showcases Pegassi’s current top picks, moving effortlessly across genres. From high-energy techno to house, and even some of Pegassi’s own unreleased material, it’s a snapshot of what’s been inspiring him lately. The spontaneity of the one-take hotel room recording adds a unique and unfiltered edge to the set.

Pegassi is the musical persona of Sam Huybrecht from Antwerp, Belgium. He first gained attention when his remix of ‘No Type’ shot to #1 on SoundCloud’s global charts. His sound blends techno, trance, house, and hip-hop, and has caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Anetha, Patrick Mason, TRYM, VTSS, and Joyhauser.

Pegassi has performed at major events such as Intercell, Modul’air, Die Rakete, and the legendary Pukkelpop festival. His track ‘Yoyoyo’ became a club anthem, earning support from top DJs including Solomun and Joris Voorn.

Two hours of techno, electro, and trance euphoria from @ki_slash_ki on the Warsaw leg of the Mixmag x Burn Energy Tour 2024.

The second stop on the Burn Energy Tour 2024 put focus on the Polish capital with a full throttle line-up headlined by Dutch master of euphoria KI/KI, followed by Sept, Hekato and Ola Tecks at the spectacular Palace of Culture and Science.

The Burn Energy Tour’s lens on Warsaw’s nightlife is a testament to the game-changing work being achieved in the city, with promoters and collectives like Narocz 13, Tainspotting, Oramics and INSTYUT, and clubs such as Smolna, Luzztro and Jasna 1, forging a distinct musical identity in the city that is the best it's ever been.

In the daytime, Mixmag and Burn presented a workshop with The Blu Mantic interviewing Sept, Ola Teks and Cyryl on the topic of 'How to run your own club night'. Through their own parties such as DUEL and Move Mózg, these artists have changed the landscape of Warsaw’s dance music scene, throwing parties in interesting and offbeat locations, pushing new sounds to the fore, standing for inclusive values, and opening the minds of the next generation. Practical advice was given on how to conceptualise and build your own events, helping to inspire new members of the club community and progress the future of the scene with fresh energy.

Warsaw was the second stop on the Burn Energy Tour 2024, following the debut event in Budapest with additional stops set for Italy and Spain.
