When it's time for more restrictions, it's time for more music. We are on the role with welcoming new faces to our Babylon Family Series. The 10th podcast is produced by B.o.T.

B.o.T is a brainchild of two London based friends, Dan Calabrese and Kakes, who engage in the combination of organic with digital elements to create blending deep bass, earthy percussion, and culture-crossing instrumentation floating on a down tempo and deep house. 

The progressive musical journey of this DJ/Producer duo has led them to create sets that are true ritual experiences between downtempo, electronica, nu disco, organic, and funk until reaching the borders of melodic and techno. Their music has a distinct persona which is derived from their strong sense of individuality/eccentricity and influence from diverse cultures.

We love them and this funky set. It's always nice to get a new and refreshing take on music like the two of them provided. Enjoy it and don't forget to comment and spread this music to the world.

𝘴𝘉 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸___In the late 2000s, three friends from southern Italy began shaping tracks out of curiosity and shared obsession. Carmine Mongelli, Cosimo Colella, and Fabio Liuzzi experimented under different names for years, slowly refining their chemistry until it became something unmistakable. What started in small home studios evolved into a deeper mission: a search for a sound that could balance raw energy and emotion, structure and chaos.

That mission found its home in 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀, their new label for complete artistic freedom. After more than a decade of collaborations and releases on respected imprints like Discarded Gems, Mindhelmet, and YAY, the trio decided it was time to let their own vision breathe without compromise.

Their first chapter Paradise City Chronicles Vol.1 sets the tone clearly. The A side draws from early European club energy -- raw, physical, and unapologetic -- culminating in “Destroy The Power”, a track that feels like a manifesto. Driving rhythms and tense layers create a hypnotic effect, while melodic fragments glow through the distortion. The sound is both heavy and emotive, a reflection of how 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 channel nostalgia into something defiant and alive.

With this record, they trace a line from their roots to their present, proving that Paradise City isn’t just a place. It’s an attitude, a collective vision: one they’ve been building for over fifteen years.

Mira: "For the past ten years now, I’ve celebrated my birthdays by inviting all my favorite cats to play – we started off at Kater Holzig before moving to our home at Kater Blau in 2015. For the first time since it started, and for obvious reasons, 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch won’t be happening, on what would have been the tenth anniversary of the series. I’ve been wondering for a while now how I can make up for the missed year - streams already feel a bit outdated, and you just can’t imagine the vibe of the event without actually being there, getting beautifully lost in those days and nights, hugging old friends and making new ones. You can’t even explain that feeling, so you definitely can’t live-stream it.

Instead, this year 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch will be a compilation of some of the amazing artists from the past ten years, and even some of the new faces I would have booked this year. In a way, it’s the perfect souvenir of all the nights we’ve had so far, and an idea of what to look forward to in all the nights to come at Kater Blau somewhere in the future.

The compilation will be split into two sections: Heinz Hopper and Acidbogen, reflecting the two floors of Kater Blau, each with their own special flavor and sound. The whole record is programmed the way I would schedule the artists across the two floors for my birthday, warming up at the start before things start getting more intense later on. I guess you could say it’s a concept album, in which the audience
wanders into our lovely little circus on the river Spree, and experiences one of my birthdays from start to finish, split across both floors of Kater Blau. Much like my parties and my sets, the idea is for the listener to get lost in these tracks and to experience them as a whole piece. At the end of it all you leave with a feeling that maybe, just maybe, cats & music were the answers after all. Even in times like these."
