Dog Days

This is the day you realize it ain't happening, and probably was never gonna.  Written 90% by my ex-partner, Struan Oglanby, with his title, awesome walking bass line, and lyrics by me. He may not like me uploading it, but why should these gems sit in my computer's equivalent of the bottom drawer unheard. It's a miracle I still have this at all after I lost everything in a house disaster.

Let It Go

Demo-version, not well recorded but I always loved this song.  Co-written with my ex-partner Struan Oglanby, featuring his programmed drums and a very dear solo by him.  He may not want me uploading this, but it's too sweet not to.  The lyrics were inspired by I-Ching hexagram #30, The Clinging Fire, which talks about inspiration.

Where We Used To Be

Way old oldie, from the late 1980's written by my ex-partner Struan Oglanby, recorded at Evergreen Recording Studio B where we used to work.... just sitting in my computer's equivalent of the bottom drawer, molding.  I never uploaded it cos maybe he wouldn't want me to, but you know what? Too friggin bad.  He was a damn genius.  Why should this disappear in oblivion? That's his composition, arrangement, drum programming, bass, engineering and mix, and 90% his lyrics; me on guitar and vocals.  Would have been the single from Circus Physics if we'd ever finished it.

So..... about this song. It's possible it was influenced by something written by George Terry MacDonald.  My ex-partner said this sounded like his 'Samson' which I only heard once and do not remember.  I have never been able to track him down or find a copy of 'Samson' to compare. Terry, if you ever hear this, and it's a match, let me know!  In any event, it's not a serious song.  More of a comedy, silly stream of consciousness thing, after seeing a very pretty boy in the street.
