Im trying to learn to play the diatonic harmonica. Here there is a fast recording session improvising with my C harmonica on a G blues guitar comping.

i played this Blues with my C harmonica on second position. I upgraded my technique on the draw bendings for this song.

I hope you enjoy with this blues/jazz standard.

Saint Louis Blues

This song is a good way to play a major pentatonic scale in first position. In solo part I played on the highest octave an played the draw bendings.

Basin street blues

I discovered the today’s song by Tito Puente’s performances. This song is considered a Latin/jazz standard and it is composed in 5/4 bars.

I've been having some troubles playing this song with the harmonica. I set a too fast tempo (150 bpm!!!). I also consider that I do not have the level to be able to play it fluently. Especially in part B, the harmonica goes slow and out of tune.

Well, I'm uploading this song to motivate myself.

When I came across Ballistic Records & Delusions last year it immediately became one of my new favourite labels, already clocking up remixes & releases from heavy hitters such as Casual Violence, Ancient Methods, Svreca & Fanon Flowers to name a few I was immediately drawn to it. Though more immediately it was the Ancient Methods rework of Delusions own production Death Tree that was my initial introduction to the label. 

That rework & the whole EP in general to be honest was one of my favourite releases of 2012 so I'm delighted that we have a podcast from Delusions to add to the series.

Archi Ferrero and Jaume Avellana (delusions) always felt very attracted to electronic music. They spent their adolescence listening to Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, New Order .... They soon discovered the sound of Detroit, Mills, shakir, Suanderson, Larkin, Hood. But as their taste develops they develop a love for the Birmingham sound and the productions of Surgeon, Regis, Female. A year ago decided to form their own label “Ballistic“ releasing on vinyl & digital with releases & remixes from the likes of: Fanon Flowers, Agony Forces, Svreca, Ancient Methods, Casual Violence, Jose Pouj, Deep's Edayar and own delusions.
