This track was made by using an actual episode of “The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross” (about 50% the episode).  The notes and rhythms are unedited improve on piano and keyboards sprinkled with sounds of the nearby freeway.

Rosstafarian Dream

This is my take on sort of an “unfinished masterpiece” encompassing several little ostinatos, melodies, groves, chord structures, beat divisions, symmetry, asymmetry, drones, slides, bends and even a tiny “fiddle solo” each of which came to me after work. It ends abruptly and nonsensically with a plan to add on new material in the future with evolved musical ideas and takes sort of like a journal.
The album was made through an intense series of self recordings/composing on GarageBand for the IPad. All aspects of the music are completely original except for the tones, acoustics, and the use of the musical “reverse” function in the trippy fugue-ish section creating a somewhat palindromic movement to the piece.
