Just in the nick of time, here is my remix contest entry of Goran Geto's - Chords And Clouds.  I only learned about the contest last night, so I had to complete this in one day.  Talk about pressure.  I hope everyone enjoys it.

Closing out an incredible year - with great new artists additions and the launch of our Dune compilations— we had to make it special.

Static Storm opens the release with an uplifting cut that captures one part of the essence of the label: progressive vibes, emotional and driving energy, one of those you can't get out of your head.

Rifftard takes us in a completly different path, to the opossite but complementary, side of the label: darker, techno-leaning, warped textures and detuned twists riding a gritty bassline.

Following the Debut LP on Ki, we've put together a few of our favorite artists to remix some tracks of their choice. It was important for us, that the artists kept their individual approach to their genre, so that we could get a very diverse release. First up is the Japanese producer Stereociti, who just released his debut album on Mojuba Records. He gives the title track "Reisegefaehrte" his very own deep touch. Second up is our close friend Glitterbug, who seems to create a very own genre with his interpretation of "Barracuda". On the flipside Stundman goes straight to the dancefloor. Jacking beats and pounding basslines are his "Reminder". And as if P.Laoss knew what the real deal is, he turned "Subsistence" into a Fata Morgana trip back to the time when Dub was really "Dub". Perfect completion of what we expected from this Remix EP.

After a big remix together last year, Enzo Leep & Alffie link once more for their first fantastic solo EP on Get Physical, while Yulia Niko remixes.
Between this new school pair they have released on an array of contemporary house labels from Kindisch to Oblack, Rhythm Box to Baile Musik. They draw on the futurism of minimal and atmosphere of house to cook up the sort of classy cuts that intimate dance floors feed off.

Emma Barber features as a guest on all the tracks and her sensuous vocals on ‘Morning Fragments’ make a breezy, slick deep house cut all the more intimate and human. The busier and brilliant ‘Waiting’ is layered with bubbling, tumbling synths and bass, pools of jazzy chords and cut up wordless vocals. It’s heady back room material to get you in a spin 

The gorgeous ‘Game Over’ is just as refreshing. It’s restless and kinetic house, with micro hits and chords, deep feelings and an irresistible groove constantly on the move. Russia’s Yulia Niko returns to the label after appearing in 2018 with ‘Acid Meow’ and flips ‘Game Over’ into a driving, acid-laced cut that is designed to get the club marching to its beat. Last of all, a dub of Morning Fragments pairs it back to the slippery minimal house drums and really gets under your skin.

This is a tasty EP of contemporary, characterful deep house that really makes a mark.

It's now accepted that label anniversary compilations and EPs should be stacked with high-grade cuts, preferably offered up by sizable or notable artists. Even so, there's something extra-special about this first part of Digbeth-based One Records' 10th anniversary EP series. Fittingly, it begins with a fresh cut from label stalwart Subb-an, a suitably heavy chunk of locked-in, early morning techno titled "Sunrise Mood", before continuing via the cut-up breakbeat fills, spacey electronics and warehouse-ready analogue bass of Adam Pits' "Pungent Method". Over on side B, Los Angeles-based Steve Urulu serves up the groovy, percussion-rich deep house/techno fusion of retro-futurist treat "Mollare Qualcuno", while Yamen & Eda drift their way through the deep breakbeat-house shuffle of "Last Dance".
